Jax Taylor Called ‘Petty’ As He’s Caught On Security Camera
Jax Taylor made a brief appearance on Vanderpump Rules Season 9. The former SUR bartender was caught on security tape giving back his samurai sword to Tom Sandoval. On Tuesday’s episode of the Bravo series, Sandoval revealed that Jax gave him his gift back.
He even had the proof to show it. Sandoval’s security camera showed Jax handing back the gift that Sandoval went to great lengths to give him. While Jax is no longer on the show, he’s still appeared in the current season many times. Producers had no problem with showing old footage of his craziest moments on the show.
Tom Sandoval gave unique gift to former Vanderpump Rules star
It all started when Sandoval’s girlfriend Ariana Madix revealed that she recognized Jax Taylor on their security camera. The former Pump Rules cast member paid a visit to their home in Valley Village. However, he wasn’t stopping by for a visit. Jax snuck onto the property to return the samurai sword that Sandoval gave him as a gift.
“The last time I saw [Jax] was him dropping off the samurai sword gift from Tom via my security camera,” Ariana admitted. “I open the front door and there was just this case laying there. And it was the case that the ninja sword came in that Tom had given Jax for his birthday signed by Randy Jackson because he loves ‘The Stepbrothers’ movie.”
Sandoval’s girlfriend showed off the samurai sword in her interview. As she swung it around, she asked, “Who’s the number one guy in the group now?” It’s unclear whether she meant Sandoval or herself. Either way, it was a power move.
As fans know, Sandoval and Jax’s friendship crumbled in Season 8. The two haven’t spoken since. Since they’re no longer on speaking terms, Sandoval found it shocking that Jax would return his gift. Producers even showed the black-and-white footage of Jax walking quietly onto Sandoval’s front porch and leaving the gift behind.
Jax Taylor received the sword at his 40th birthday party
As fans already know, Sandoval loves to go all out for his friends. He helped pay for James Kennedy’s Coachella-themed engagement party to ex-fiance Raquel Leviss. That’s just the type of guy he is. Sandoval also loves to give — and he’s good at gifting.
He gave Jax Taylor the sword at his 1980s themed 40th birthday party. The party was filmed during Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. Sandoval admitted that this special gift wasn’t easy to find. He had to search high and far for the perfect gift for his former friend.
Jax wasn’t as appreciative of the gift. He thinks that Sandoval was trying to satisfy his own ego. The former Bravo star didn’t think the gift was genuine.
“See but this is the thing about Tom, what he does,” Jax Taylor said on the Vanderpump Rules Aftershow in March 2020. “I know people say all the stuff he does. To me — and I don’t mean this the wrong way – it’s ‘Look what I did, look what I did.’ So he [does it] not just for me but for everybody else. And I’m not wrong about that.”
Fans reacted to Jax giving the gift back to Sandoval. Some of them called him “petty” and “immature.” They felt like he was acting like a kid. However, Jax has not responded to the drama.
