Chris Combs Gets Devastating News After Stepping On The Scale

Tammy and Amy’s brother Chris Combs got devastating news as he stepped on the scale during this week’s episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters. What was this bad news? Did he not get approved for weight loss surgery? Keep reading for spoilers.

Chris Combs steps on scale, gets devastating news
We learned Chris Combs had some pretty big fears during last week’s episode. He was terrified he wasn’t going to reach his goal. He was terrified he wasn’t going to get weight loss surgery. Was all this dieting and hard work for nothing?
Unfortunately, the scale did not give him happy results after he stepped up on it during tonight’s episode. As fans recall, he was supposed to get under 400 pounds so he could get approved for surgery. Sadly, he did not dip under 400 pounds. In fact, he still had about eight pounds to lose.
Gutted, Chris Combs sits back down into the chair. He admits to Dr. Smith that he isn’t sure what happened. He has been following the diet and he has been as active as he can be. So, he had no idea why he wasn’t under 400 pounds.

Did he get approved for weight loss surgery?
The big question 1000-Lb. Sisters have at this point is simple: Did Chris Combs get approved for weight loss surgery. Dr. Smith admits that as Chris’ doctor, he isn’t always going to say what Chris wants to hear. Fans all assumed Dr. Smith was gearing him up to tell him he wasn’t approved for surgery. Chris Combs even assumed this was the case because he didn’t meet his weight goal. He was devastated.

Dr. Smith, however, continued to talk about how important it was to get this weight off of Chris as quickly as possible. So, he was approving him for surgery. Chris was flabbergasted. He just got that devastating news as he stepped on the scale and realized how much he weighed.
Baffled, Amy and Tammy’s brother asks why he got approved for the surgery. Dr. Smith explained that he looks at the big picture. Sure, Chris did not meet the weight goal right at this moment. But, he has done everything the doctor has asked of him. And, following his orders goes a long way.
