Coming Out Colton breeds controversy
Immediately after Colton Underwood came out in April of 2021, news broke that he would star in an untitled docuseries for Netflix. It wasn’t until November that the streaming giant officially confirmed the news.
Coming Out Colton debuted on Netflix on Friday, December 3, 2021. And the series has been the center of controversy ever since. Some Bachelor Nation fans are upset that Underwood would get a platform after allegedly stalking ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph.
Randolph was his final rose pick on Season 23 of The Bachelor. After splitting up in May of 2020, Cassie Randolph filed a restraining order months later, accusing her ex of harassment and stalking.
Furthermore, critics slam Underwood’s decision to come out to his family on camera.
Filming of the Netflix show began even before his April interview with Good Morning America where he revealed that he’s gay.
Bachelor Nation alum slammed for deceit
There’s another scandal brewing about Colton Underwood. Several Bachelor Nation alums have accused him of lying about multiple things. Ben Higgins and Nick Viall dispute that no one reached out to Underwood after coming out. According to Heavy, Higgins recounts sending along a book about coming out as a Christian.
Furthermore, Nick Viall revealed on his The Viall File podcast that he has receipts of texting Colton Underwood shortly after he came out.
But perhaps the biggest accusation of an untruth comes from Tayshia Adams. She spoke out to deny Colton Underwood’s contention that he wore sweatpants during their Fantasy Suite date.
So, with all the backlash, will his Netflix series continue?

Season 1 of Coming Out Colton documented the former Bachelor lead coming out to friends and family. What would Season 2 entail?
Gossip site @deuxmoi received a blind item from a follower. According to the insider, Colton Underwood is already filming another season of Coming Out Colton.
Season 2 would allegedly follow the story of Colton’s relationship with Jordan C. Brown, whom he’s been dating for a few months.
The spy further reveals that Netflix is not yet officially attached to the project.
