What Is A Christmas Proposal About?
Here is the synopsis for A Christmas Proposal. According to The Futon Critic, Maria Winters (Camacho) is a down-on-her-luck chef. She has a dream. She wants to start her own line of food trucks.
Therefore, she agrees to pose as the girlfriend of a hotshot Seattle attorney Julian Diaz (Rodriguez). He is visiting his family for Christmas. He returned home with a plan.
Julian believes that coming home with Maria will prove to his family he is mature and grown-up enough to take over the family firm.
However, sparks fly, and this business arrangement proves to be very complicated. Could it be because of the magic of the holiday season?
When Can You Watch A Christmas Proposal?
A Christmas Proposal premieres on Sunday, December 12, from 8:30-10:30 p.m., Eastern, 8:00-10:00 p.m. Pacific, on CBS. In addition, it is available to stream live, and on Demand on the CBS app, as well as Paramount+.
‘Great Little Love Story’ Has Latinx Twist
A Christmas Proposal’s Adam Rodriguez spoke to Hollywood Life about this “great little love story.” After the Jane The Virgin star revealed that this movie’s meet-cute is “modern,” he dug into the Latinx roots of this movie.
Rodriguez shared that it “feels great” to be asked to star in one of the very first Latinx Christmas movies around.
“It was a responsibility that I really welcomed taking on, and it’s why it was important to be a part of the producing team so that I could weigh in and make sure that the way we were being represented feels authentic and not things that you might typically see.”
Adam believes that representation matters. “It was really important that this family be presented as an American family that is Latin, and you will feel that, and you’ll feel just energetically that these people are warm and all of the things that people might associate with being Latin, but very much rooted in their being American and feeling that way as well.”
Adam Rodriguez praised CBS. He said that “CBS had the vision to know it’s time to be way more inclusive.” Rodriguez is “really excited” to be part of this historic movie.
Don’t miss A Christmas Proposal, on Sunday, December 12. It airs from 8:30-10:30 p.m., Eastern, an 8:00-10:00 p.m. Pacific, on CBS.
For those who like to go online, it is available on Paramount+ and on Demand on the CBS app.
