Kristy Swanson Hospitalized With COVID, Slams Anti-Vax Rumors
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Psych actress Kristy Swanson has been hospitalized after testing positive for COVID. Despite being in the hospital, testing positive for COVID, and very openly speaking out against the vaccine, the actress is also clapping back at anti-vax rumors that are swirling about her. The 51-year-old actress thinks it is important to clarify there is a difference between being anti-vax and being hesitant to take the COVID vaccine.
Kristy Swanson Hospitalized With COVID
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Psych actress took to Twitter yesterday morning to ask her fans for prayers. She explained that she took an ambulance ride to the hospital for complications related to testing positive for COVID.
Prayers for me please. Yesterday I took an ambulance ride to the hospital. I’m still here with pneumonia, I’m on oxygen etc, all covid related of course. I’m in good spirits and in great hands.”
She followed up with an additional tweet: “Just little more clarification & update, I was just at the tail end of my Covid diagnosis when it jumped into my lungs. So they are treating me with Baricitinib & blood thinners so I don’t clot. I’m ok.”
The actress followed up with a third tweet praising the hospital and the staff taking care of her. She noted that she was in incredible hands.
Actress Slams Anti-Vax Rumors Swirling About Her
Unfortunately for the actress, it wasn’t long before people started sharing screenshots in response to the news. These screenshots featured tweets from the actress sharing her thoughts on the COVID-19 vaccine. Like many others, the actress was hesitant to trust the vaccine.
Kristy Swanson, however, didn’t back down or hide from the heat she was receiving on Twitter. Instead, she responded to a lot of the backlash. For starters, she pointed out that everyone should “fact check” because she never said she was anti-vax.

She also fired back and people who claimed to know about her medical history or her vaccination status.

The actress was also quick to remind some of the hateful tweets she was receiving that being vaccinated didn’t stop people from spreading or contracting the virus.
