WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2021: Full Results, Top Moments
WWE NXT delivered a show this week timed perfectly for the Halloween season. Halloween Havoc 2021 took place at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, and featured major matches and moments. Halloween Havoc was the first major event by NXT since the brand relaunched with a new color scheme, additional focus on younger stars, as well as a redesigned arena.
The main event pit NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa defended his title against Bron Breakker, the son of legendary Rick Steiner. Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne got their shot at the NXT Women’s Tag Titles against champions Io Shirai & Zoey Stark, and fellow challengers Persia Pirotta & Indi Hartwell. The triple threat tag match was unique in that it was the first-ever Scarway to Hell Ladder match. Raquel Gonzalez defended her WWE NXT Women’s Title against the leader of Toxic Attraction in the form of Mandy Rose.

Ciampa retains
When WWE NXT relaunched earlier this fall, the speculation was that many of the veterans would be phases out in favor of youth. While younger talent have been the focus, there’s been enough veteran presence on the show to keep it grounded. After Samoa Joe was forced to vacate the WWE NXT Title due to injury, Tommaso Ciampa won the championship in a Fatal Four-Way match. Since then, Bron Breakker has debuted and made it clear he wanted a shot a Ciampa and the NXT crown. Ciampa obliged and Halloween Havoc main event was set ith the title on the line. The match went back and forth, with Breakker even busting out a Frankensteiner for a near fall. In the end, Ciampa hit three knee strikes and the Fairy Tale Ending for the win.
Scareway to Hell Title Change
Io Shirai & Zoey Stark defended their tag titles in a Triple Threat Scareway to Hell Ladder Match. Persia Pirotta & Indi Hartwell and Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne provided the challenge as the six women kicked off the show. As expected in a match like this, it was like a car crash, but in a good way. Each woman gave it their all and put their body on the line, including a hard fall from one ladder onto another ladder on the outside by Shirai. As the match came to its conclusion, Dolin kicked Hartwell off the ladder before grabbing the title for the win.

Along with the relaunch of WWE NXT came the introduction of Toxic Attraction, led by a newly brunette Mandy Rose. In the weeks leading up to the WWE NXT Halloween Havoc, it was clear that Rose was positioned to be a star. The match was solid, but a figure dressed in black entered the ring and hit Gonzalez with a shovel. Rose capitalized with an ax kick for the win and title. After the match, the figure in black removed her hood and revealed herself to be Dakota Kai.
