Bachelor Nation Shocked After Katie Thurston, Blake Moynes Split
Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes calling it quits shook fans up a bit. They had a compelling story with Blake showing up later on Katie’s season to see if it could work. When they got engaged on the show, fans really were rooting for them.
As we reported, Katie had shared they’d been living their separate lives since getting engaged. He still lived in Canada while she was in the US. He also went to Africa for an educational expedition. Still, they made time to be together. Katie shared a video of him doing her makeup and posted pictures of them on Instagram. That’s why it came as a bit of a surprise to some when they ended things.
Fans and stars of Bachelor Nation are reeling from the news and a lot shared their thoughts on social media. The reason the couple said they split was that “they’re not compatible as life partners.” Both seem to be in a good place after the breakup and lots of fans wonder if they’ll see them on Bachelor in Paradise.
Bachelor Nation Sent Love To Katie Thurston And Blake
Katie Thurston and Blake got a lot of love and support from others in their reality television family. Tahzjuan Hawkins said, “All my love is with you.” Trista Sutter said, “So sorry to hear! Sending love.” Ivan Hall wrote on Blake’s post, “Much love to you both.”
Their post was the same on both their accounts and talked about mutual love and respect for each other. Mike Planeta said, “classy and well written brotha! Proud of you.” Kelley Flanagan said, “love you guys! Praying for both of ya’ll.” JoJo Fletcher, Blake Horstmann, Clare Crawley, and more left red heart emojis on Thurston’s post. Clare Crawley shared some solidarity with Katie, as she’s going through her own breakup with Dale Moss.
Distance Could Have Been A Factor
Katie had previously spoken on her Instagram story a little about the long-distance. According to People, she said, “I don’t think people fully understand what it’s like to date someone from another country and the rules behind that and the visas behind that.” Of course, people’s minds go to another Bachelor couple experiencing the same thing. Serena Pitt is currently in Canada where she lives while Joe Amabile is in the US.
Katie and Blake ended their post saying, “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.”
