Andy Cohen Shares True Feelings About Critics Calling For Erika Jayne Firing

Once again, Bravo exec Andy Cohen is speaking out about those calling for Erika Jayne’s firing. The 50-year-old has been hit with backlash ever since her embezzlement case made headlines. She’s currently in the midst of legal drama with her estranged husband Thomas Girardi. Since then, fans have demanded her removal from the show.

Previously, Andy Cohen shared that he’s not on board with the firing. He feels that the case should play out until the very end. Erika addressed the backlash on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 reunion. She claims she hasn’t been charged with a crime and that she wasn’t aware of her estranged husband’s financial dealings.

Andy Cohen responds to increase calls for firing

Andy Cohen attended an event for Dave Queen’s new book, Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Watch What Happens Live host said he’s not listening to the critics right now. That’s not even something that’s even on his mind. RHOBH fans want Erika Jayne fired from the series.

“She has not been charged with a crime, as you may or may not know, and the story is unfolding as we watch,” Andy Cohen argued.

He claims that Erika Jayne’s plot during Season 11 was ” an interesting story that we’ve seen.” This comes amid the reports that Erika may return for another season as her case is ongoing. As fans know, a housewife’s alleged crimes have no bearing on their future with Bravo. Teresa Giudice is still very much part of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“Our mutual friend, Teresa, was involved in some bad business and we kept cameras going to see how that unfolded, I think, because so many viewers were invested in Teresa,” Andy explained.

Teresa paid for her crimes. She spent 11 months in jail for financial fraud. Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Joe Giudice, served 41 months and was deported. Bravo is aware that viewers will tune in, whether they like it or not.

Will Erika Jayne return for Season 12?

Since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills got its highest ratings yet, will the entire cast return for Season 12? Andy Cohen refused to answer that question. While noting is in cement, it’s been said that most of them could return. Andy kept mum when sharing that information with Entertainment Tonight.

“You got to wait and see!” Andy Cohen teased. “But I will say that it was such a blockbuster season that it would be my hope that it would remain, somehow, someway, intact…I hope everybody’s back.”

Garcelle Beauvais isn’t sure if she’s up for another season. Erika has no choice since the show is her only source of income. However, her attorneys suggested that she should leave the show. Andy claims that she’s “happy” to talk about the legal issues and to “close this chapter” in her life.
