‘TOWIE’: James Argent Shows Off INSANE Weight Loss Transformation
The Only Way Is Essex alum James Argent had fans doing a double-take as he showcased his incredible weight loss transformation while shirtless on a beach recently.
Turns out, the TOWIE alum was spotted enjoying a sunny vacation on the shores of Marbella, Spain. Photos leaked out online of the celeb have fans absolutely shocked.
TOWIE star comes back from rock bottom
Most TOWIE fans will remember that James Argent was kicked off the show back in 2019 after he failed a drug test administered by the network. The reality celeb was banned from the show for two years. According to Mirror, at the time, the network basically wished him the best and said they had no plans to film with him again in the future.
At the time, James was nearly 378 pounds. He had been taken to the hospital more than once for overdosing on substances. In general, he was not doing well. The famously hefty and now-blackballed reality celeb checked himself into a rehab program in Thailand.
Now, just over two years later, Argent has completely turned his life around — and it shows.
James Argent’s insane weight loss transformation
Just a few months ago, James Argent underwent gastric bypass surgery and has spent the last year or so really taking control of his body and his health.
In photos shared by The Daily Mail, the former ITVbe celeb is lounging beachside and surprisingly it seems almost half of him is missing! The outlet reports that James has lost nearly 135 pounds in the few short months since his surgery.
While he will have to continue to work on his fitness and dietary choices to prevent putting weight back on, the British musician has made huge strides in improving the quality of his life and has no plans for stopping now.
According to James, he initially had a goal to lose “10 stone” which equates to roughly, 140 pounds. Now, after having nearly achieved that, the shrunken celebrity says that he wants to push that to 15 stones. If he succeeds that will put him at a total loss of 210 pounds, an amount more than half his former body weight.
