Whitney Way Thore Shocks Fans By Meeting With Chase Again
Whitney Way Thore met with Chase Severino for the first time since their breakup recently. This odd move for TLC means high ratings as fans tune in for the awkwardness. For instance, remember the last time they met? The tears, the anguish, the heartbreak. No one wants to see that again.
Whirlwind Romance
Whitney Way Thore embarked on a whirlwind relationship with Chase Severino during seasons 6, 7 and 8. The world watched as the couple dated, shared their dreams and ended up in Paris. Chase proposed at the Eiffel Tower and she accepted. However, soon after, things began to unravel. It obviously didn’t work out.
Trouble in Paradise
Things began to take a turn when Whitney loses her wedding ring. While at the beach, it slipped off in the waves. Then the discussion of wedding plans, which never came to fruition raised some eyebrows. Then when Chase asks Whitney to move in with him, Whitney takes a strange stance and does not move. In addition, let’s not forget the whole Buddy situation. That added to the awkwardness every time it aired on-screen.
Heartbreak
By the end of the last season, Chase and Whitney Way Thore lived apart. COVID struck and added to the strain of the love affair. Many of those watching wondered just how much relationship was left. Then the meeting. Chase asked Whitney to meet him as he needed to discuss something very important. Chase was about to become a father. Whitney, devastated by the news, saw her life ripped from her in just one moment. When she wanted to discuss children, Chase did not. And now he’s lured into fatherhood.
French Privacy
During Season 9, although Whitney introduced us to the new man, sort of. He wants to remain anonymous so his remains blurred out during the episodes. In addition, he told Whitney he wanted to keep things private. This set off a whole new issue of whether he wants to be with Whitney at all.
Whitney Agrees to Meet With Chase
Fast forward to the current episode and Chase texts Whitney for a meeting. He wants to patch their friendship. Whitney agrees to meet with Chase at a pub. Upon her arrival, Chase asked for a hug and Whitney being the kind heart she is, went along with the gesture. They continued with small talk and then Chase breaks the news that he’s asking the mother of his child to marry him. It is clear that Chase wants to have Whitney in his life in some fashion, but generally, this does not happen. Most relationships that end in cheating do not end up being old pals.
