Bravo shocked RHONY fans when it canceled the Season 13 reunion. The network claims there were scheduling issues. Most of those issues have to do with Ramona Singer’s inability to film the reunion with the cast. Season 13 has been a controversial one since most of the castmates could not get along.

This revelation comes after months of filming delays. For some reason, the cast could not agree on a day and time to film the reunion. This past season has seen a decline in viewership. Fans have a feeling that the show will need a major reboot if it ever comes back.

RHONY Season 13 reunion canceled

After months of speculation over the show’s future, Bravo canceled The Real Housewives of New York Season 13 reunion. The network released a statement that shocked and outraged fans. They feel that the ladies can arrange to film the reunion if they live in the area. According to them, there is no excuse for them not to meet up together.

“Due to scheduling challenges around taping the reunion of The Real Housewives of New York City in a timely manner, Bravo confirmed there will not be a reunion for the season,” a spokesperson for the network said via a statement. “It’s disappointing to not be able to bring the cast back together, but we are happy to have ended on such a high note with the finale, and are now shifting our focus to next season.”

The final episode was the only one that showed the cast in a good light. For much of the season, they argued over many things, including the 2020 election and racism. Ramona Singer didn’t feel comfortable with addressing her racist and offensive comments that she’s made on the show. It could be the reason why they couldn’t film the reunion.

Some fans feel that Bravo could’ve just filmed Ramona’s interview at another time. Bravo did the same with Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux when he refused to film the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 reunion with the rest of the cast. The Real Housewives of Miami Season 1 reunion was filmed in the clubhouse instead of the New York City studio. Obviously, arrangements could’ve been made.

What does this mean for the future of the show?

Last month, rumors swirled that it could be the end of RHONY as we know it. For the past few months, there have been many questions surrounding the future of the show. Some think that most of the cast will get fired as a result of this terrible season. Radar Online suggested that the cable network could pull the plug on the once-popular show.

However, they may call it a “permanent hiatus.” The network isn’t even focused on filming Season 14. It would be hard for most of the cast members to move on. Instead, Bravo will have to put the show on the shelf for now.

“The decision about the show’s future is no longer in the hands of Bravo. After all the accusations of racism, the decision has gone all the way up to the top bosses at NBC,” an insider told Radar Online. “The gear is that the show is just too controversial now. The last thing they want to do is having this show poison the entire franchise.”

According to another source, the news of the canceled reunion has left the cast feeling “beyond frustrated.” Unfortunately, they haven’t gotten answers as to why it continued to get delayed. While they had “no interest” in rehashing the issues that happened a year ago, they feel they will never get the closure they needed. Some of them were convinced that the reunion was happening no matter what.

  1. i am sorry that the rhofny reunion was cancelled. i have watched the show since day 1. i found that the last 2 yrs the show became shouting and bickering match and women running around naked looking for a man. i became disgusted with this years show about racism. this was supposed to be a how to watch and be entertained but instead became a controversial issue about race election and a shouting match with sonjia becing drunk most of the time. revamp the show and cut out the nonsense and focus on real people andd their accomplishments or don’t bring it back. i will not watch anymore until these issues are cleared. i do not want to watch tv and see all the daily problems

    1. Yay! Shelf the New York franchise. Ramona is a racist and narcissist and has poisoned the show the last few seasons. Thanks to Ebony to bring it to the attention of the NBC executives. Bravo needs to shelf certain Housewife franchises that have become toxic and destructive. So good move here goodbye to RHONY!
Also, RHOPotomac needs to be cleaned up by firing Candiace Bassett who has obvious mental issues and continues to verbally bash her fellow black women cast mates. She is vile, vindictive and dangerous (look at past seasons)! Bravo needs to look at her physical and verbal threats! Her singing career might as well end now because her reality show presence overshadows her lackluster singing anyway.
