Recap Of The Previous Season Of The TLC Series

I Am Jazz Season 6 concluded in March of 2020. So, it has been a minute since fans have seen Jazz Jennings on TV. The final episode of Season 6 was titled “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” The official synopsis of the episode reads: “Jazz seeks emotional well-being at a retreat; despite being short of her goal, Noelle moves forward with her gender affirmation surgery.”

In June of 2021, Jazz Jennings offered a bit of an update on her life for those that follow her. Turns out, she was struggling with a substantial amount of weight gain. Turns out, she has gained nearly 100 pounds inside of two years.

Here’s what she had to say about her weight gain:

I suffer from binge-eating disorder, a disease in which I’m not only addicted to food, but I eat it in large quantities. My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years.”

As we previously reported, Jazz Jennings also explained her decision to post a photo of her weight gain. Turns out, it was her way of holding herself accountable.

She explained: “I’m posting this photo because it’s time for me to address my weight gain and hold myself accountable. I’m ready to change my ways; I’ve been saying I’m ready to turn over a new leaf, but I’m running out of trees now.”

  1. Has anyone else figured out the correlation between Jazz wanting to go to Pomona and being brow beat to Harvard. Her weight gain among other problems they go hand in hand. If I’m wrong I apologize. However I don’t believe in this kind of coincidence. It all started when she made the choice to go to Harvard when you can absolutely see what she wanted. I have those episode. Not trying to point fingers. It is just you can see it all play out. I know her mom thought Harvard was a fit. Didn’t turn out that way. Her parents love her so much and the best parents you could ask for, however I think they lost sight for awhile I think Jazz is a great role model. Something happened with collages it affected her severally. Any way it’s just a thought. No shade in any form. So don’t attack me.
