Ready for another Hallmark Fall Harvest movie? According to the press release, Taking The Reins is about writer Samantha (DeLoach). Her editor is not thrilled with her current work. She claims it lacks passion.
So, Samantha heads back home. She decides to write about something she is passionate about. Home just happens to be the family horse ranch. Moreover, Samantha is passionate about horses. In addition, her family is hosting the annual Equestrian Competition. Here is her story!
Going back home brings a mixed bag. Sam needs to deal with the reason she stopped riding horses. Also, in this Hallmark movie, she reconnects with her ex-husband Luke (Porter). All of this means she is figuring out what went wrong.

Hallmark’s Fall Harvest Brings All The Feels
Who doesn’t love the crisp Autumn air? The apple picking, Pumpkin Spiced lattes, Fall colors, hayrides, and other seasonal activities. Hallmark has it all with their annual Fall Harvest movies.
Don’t forget to catch the encore showings of Roadhouse Romance, starring fan-favorite Tyler Hynes and the charming Lauren Alaina. Lauren plays Lieutenant Callie Jackson.
She is done with her military duty and is back home. However, everything at home is now different. Her grandpa died, and his restaurant Tucker’s Roadhouse is now in trouble. They are out of his world-famous BBQ sauce. When she was young, she would make it with her grandfather. They would make a batch that would last a year.
Unfortunately, the recipe is missing. Callie’s late grandfather likely hid the recipe. But where?
Luke (Hynes) is a big-time television producer. He is headed to see his girlfriend, with a special gift. But, something happens to make him stay. When he meets Callie, they both learn a few life lessons from each other. Will he stay even longer?
