Bachelor Nation superfan David Spade is one of the rotating hosts for this summer’s Bachelor in Paradise. Keeping with the celebrity superfan as hosts theme, could Jennifer Aniston be the next host of The Bachelor? The film star reveals if she’s interested in returning to TV in a hosting gig.

Chris Harrison Exits Bachelor Franchise Amid Scandal

Earlier this year, Bachelor Nation was rocked by yet another controversy about race. The ABC dating show has come under fire in the past for lack of diversity, including the lead for The Bachelor. It wasn’t until Season 25 that the show had a Black male lead. Unfortunately, Matt James’ groundbreaking season was marred by more racial strife.

Photos surfaced of his frontrunner, Rachael Kirkconnell, attending an “Old South”-themed party a few years prior. Rachael stayed silent about the controversy at first, but Chris Harrison spoke up in her defense. The long-time host dismissed the party as college antics. Harrison’s response became a scandal of its own. Consequently, he took a step back from hosting the After the Final Rose special and subsequent seasons of the franchise’s various spin-offs.

Bachelorette alums Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams stepped in as hosts for Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. Furthermore, ABC recently revealed that the duo will also host Michelle Young’s season. Season 18 of The Bachelorette is currently filming and will air later this fall.

In June, Chris Harrison made the decision to cut ties with the show completely. The news came shortly after ABC announced the hosts for Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise.

Bachelor in Paradise Recruits Celebrity Hosts

There was a lot of speculation about who would be hosting Bachelor in Paradise. The show finally returns to the beach after being sidelined due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many former Bachelor Nation contestants will be marooned on a beach in Mexico. But you can’t have a show without a host.

Initially, the rumor mill speculated that actor/comedian David Spade would host BiP. The Tommy Boy star is actually a HUGE fan of the franchise. He often posts hilarious recaps on his social media.

Shortly before Chris Harrison’s untimely exit, ABC confirmed that David Spade would be hosting BiP. However, he wasn’t the only host. Rather, Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise will feature a rotating slate of hosts, including NSYNC member Lance Bass.

Jennifer Aniston as Next Host of The Bachelor?

With Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelorette hosts locked in, fans’ attention has turned to future seasons of the franchise. A new season of Bachelor is currently casting contestants. Fans want to see Katie Thurston’s former contestant Michael A. get another chance at love.

However, David Spade isn’t the only celebrity fan of the show. Actress Jennifer Aniston is a huge Bachelorholic. The Friends star recently spoke to InStyle about her career and upbringing. The topic turned to The Bachelor. Would she ever want to host the show?

Aniston isn’t sure she has what the show needs. “God, I don’t know. I think they need a psychologist or psychiatrist, not just Chris Harrison — or whoever the host is now. There should be someone they can go and talk to,” she said.

When the interviewer pointed out that someone could be her, Jennifer Aniston was game. She said that she would “gladly” step in for Chris Harrison. Do you think the actress could fill Chris Harrison’s mighty big shoes? Or Should the network go with an unknown? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Don’t miss the dramatic conclusion of Katie Thurston’s season. The Bachelorette season finale airs on Monday, August 9th. Bachelor in Paradise premieres on August 16.
