Suki Waterhouse Defends Relationship With ‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson
Suki Waterhouse took aim at Gossip Girl after the series took a serious dig at her relationship with Twilight star Robert Pattinson. According to People Magazine, a recent episode of the Gossip Girl reboot criticized Suki’s romance with Pattinson. And Suki was NOT happy about it. So, what did the Bad Batch star do? Well, the 29-year-old actress and model took to Twitter to make her thoughts on the criticism of her relationship with the Twilight star known.
What exactly did Gossip Girl say about their relationship?
Episode 3 of the Gossip Girl reboot featured Luna (Zión Moreno) trying to repair the public image of Zoya’s (Whitney Peak) after she kicked off a relationship with Obie (Eli Brown). Obie happened to be an ex-boyfriend of her long-lost sister.
Luna says to Zoya in the scene that has Suki Waterhouse so upset with the series: “When are you going to get it? As far as the press is concerned, he’s R-Patz and you’re Suki Nobody.”
Toward the end of last week, Suki Waterhouse responded to this dig at her relationship with Robert. And, she wasn’t too happy about it.
“Another day to be reminded that women can also be the patriarchy,” the actress penned in a tweet. According to People Magazine, the actress has since deleted her. She continued tagging both the show and Lila Feinberg (the writer):
Seeing critiques of patriarchy and sexism, then I get name checked as somebody’s ‘nobody’ girlfriend. Make it make sense!”
How long have Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson been together?
This isn’t really a new or fresh relationship. Suki Waterhouse and the Twilight star have been in a relationship for years. They were first connected back in July of 2018 when they were spotted at a screening together. After the screening, they were also spotted grabbing some drinks. In May of 2019, the couple was linked again while celebrating Robert Pattinson’s birthday.
Robert and Suki spent a lot of time quarantining together. Around the same time, Robert was also filming the movie The Batman. A year ago, a source close to the couple confirmed they were very much in love.
