Courtney and Eric Waldrop drop devastating Sweet Home Sextuplet news

Everything changed for Sweet Home Sextuplet fans a few days ago. Eric And Courtney Waldrop dropped YouTube video on July 8th that included bittersweet news. Turns out, the TLC series would NOT be returning for Season 4.

Unfortunately, the couple confirmed TLC will NOT be renewing the series. It has been canceled by the network. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the video featuring this saddening next, you can push play on the video down below to see what Courtney and Eric had to say.

The couple admit agreeing to be part of a reality TV show was difficult

In the video above, Eric and Courtney Waldrop go back to the beginning. They talk about how crazy stepping into the world of reality TV. Courtney reveals after announcing they were pregnant with six babies… She was almost immediately approached by people asking if she wanted to be part of a reality TV show for TLC. Eric chimed in to confirm it was within a week of announcing their six babies to the world that someone reached out to them.

The couple agree that making the decision to be part of a reality TV show was not an easy one. Courtney and Eric prayed about it and talked about it. Eventually, they made the decision to be a part of the series. So, understandable, Sweet Home Sextuplets fans assume making the decision to step back out of the reality TV world would be just as hard.

The video made it clear Courtney and Eric Waldrop really struggled with how to break this devastating news to fans. Neither parent really wanted to break the bad news. So, Courtney took charge of the conversation. Eric did his best to chime in and support his wife as she spoke.

They agreed if things ever got too hard they would back out

Courtney and Eric Waldrop continue to explain they’ve decided it is best for their family to move forward without production crews following them around for the time being. Now, they acknowledge how difficult it was to make this decision because they have such “precious” and “loyal” fans. But, they feel in their heart of hearts it is time to move on.

Fortunately, fans of Sweet Home Sextuplets can have peace of mind in knowing it doesn’t sound like it was TLC’s decision to pull the plug and cancel the series. It sounds like this was Courtney and Eric’s decision for their family.

  1. I think the family made the right decision. It’s time they take a break, at least, to move the babies forward as they now enter pre school and the older ones start sports. Having to deal with production wanting to set shots, want do-overs, following your every move, equipment and crew crammed in a small room with hot lights. This can take a toll on them very fast, let alone raising their family as they remodel. Perhaps tlc will do a sextuplets update show now and then as a special. But then again, it all about the money. Can tlc sell the advertising? And the family should be at least at 25K per episode, not season. That puts tremendous pressure on production to get the shows in the can where the network will sell the advertising. So, it’s best to part ways for now.

  2. I think they totally made the right decision for their family ., that’s what I love about them. They are focused about what is best for them especially with the kids getting older there are more demands and it gets crazier the older they get. I am gonna miss the show terribly but am happy for their decision ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  3. I absolutely love this show and especially their faith in God. The show allows them to express that and that is very rare nowadays. I am very saddened by their choice to end the show, but completely understand why they made the choice. I look forward to something in the future so we can all see how the kids grow up. May God bless them and their family.
