Like all the cast members on My 600-lb Life, it wasn’t an easy road for Cillas Givens. Food was a source of comfort for the TLC star from a young age. As he grew, his food addiction got out of control. And it was a habit that he was unable to kick. And as a result, he needed the help of Dr Now.
By the time Cillas Givens made it to Houston to see Dr Now on My 600-lb Life, he was 729 pounds. Meanwhile, despite the odds against him, Cillas was determined to kick his food addiction and drop the weight. And as viewers that watched his episode know, that’s exactly what he did.
Cillas Gets Himself in Gear
On his TLC episode of My 600-lb Life, Cillas Givens lost 388 pounds over the course of his journey – cutting his weight in half in the process. Clocking in at a personal best of 341 pounds, Cillas had a new lease on life. And, motivated by his weight loss success, he proposed to his girlfriend, Jessica.
Going through the My 600-lb Life process comes with its own set of challenges. More than just losing weight and eating right, it requires participants to commit to a complete lifestyle overall. And as is the case with most cast members, it’s a life or death situation by the time they make it to Houston to see Dr. Now. Luckily for Cillas, he is one of a handful of success stories from the show.
Where Is The My 600-lb Life Star Now?
Another challenge that My 600-lb Life stars face is keeping up their good habits and weight loss once the cameras leave. As anyone that struggles with weight-loss knows, losing the weight and keeping it off for the long haul are two completely different things. Luckily for Cillas Givens, he continues to persevere since filming his episode for TLC.
Turns out he is still with Jessica and her daughters in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Meanwhile, he had a job as a customer service agent for ContactUs Communications. This is a job he has had since September 2019. And based on the latest updates from him, it looks like he is now a supervisor. Meanwhile, he also encourages others to lead an active, healthier lifestyle.
In addition, based on the latest pics from the My 600-lb Life cast member, it looks like he dropped even more weight since his time filming the show. And he looks happier and healthier for it.
