‘When Calls The Heart’: Nathan, Elizabeth Go On Date, How Does Lucas React?
In When Calls The Heart Season 8, Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton is going to learn that going out on a date is not terribly private in Hope Valley. In fact, in the first episode of the Hallmark series, while on a date with Nathan, Elizabeth runs into Lucas.

Will there be some romance in When Calls The Heart Season 8? Absolutely! Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) will choose between Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and Lucas (Christ McNally. That will finally end the two-season love triangle. Elizabeth will finally choose and then the real courting will begin.
Sounds like When Calls The Heart Season 8 is jumping headfirst into the love triangle resolution. ET shared a scene in the first episode. Elizabeth and baby Jack (Gunner and Lincoln Taylor) are out on a date with Nathan and his niece, Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller).
The quartet stroll towards Abigail’s Cafe for a meal, when they see Lucas. Elizabeth and Lucas make eye contact. Soon, she is totally enthralled as she watches Lucas help a very attractive blonde woman out of a vehicle.
Lucas is quick to introduce this woman. “I’d like you all to meet my mother.” Of course, this is Helen Bouchard (Teryl Rothery). An uncharacteristically flustered Elizabeth is happy and a bit nervous. Mrs. Bouchard did help her become published just last season!
“It’s so lovely to meet you, Mrs. Bouchard. Lucas didn’t mention you’d be arriving.”
Helen graciously shared that she was headed to San Francisco when she realized she could swing by Hope Valley and visit her beloved son. Besides, she has other motives. “After all, someone ought to take an interest in your writing, don’t you think?”
Does it sound like mom is trying to help her son win over Elizabeth?
When Calls The Heart Season 8 Includes Many Love Stories
Obviously, the main love story is between Elizabeth and whichever guy she chooses. But, what other romances will be shown in When Calls The Heart Season 8? Hearties may have noticed that Ned Yost (Hrothgar Mathews) and Florence Blakeley (Loretta Walsh) have been dancing towards a relationship, over the past few seasons.
There may be more romance. Viewers will have to watch and see!
