Duggar Family Celebrates Josie’s 11th Birthday: New Photo
The Duggar family celebrated Josie’s birthday this week. She just turned 11 years old and considering her very early birth, she grows into a big and healthy girl now. Recall, Josie arrived prematurely at 25 weeks. Some 19 Kid & Counting fans can’t believe how time just flies by. After all, many of them said prayers for her as a baby.
Duggar family so grateful for Josie who thrives on her 11th birthday
Last year, when Josie turned 10, we took a look back at her early life. We recalled that when Josie arrived in 2009, the Duggar family really stressed about her. In fact, for the family and fans of 19 Kids & Counting, little came along for much celebration. Mom Michelle “was diagnosed with preeclampsia during her pregnancy. Born so early, she weighed in at only 1 lb., 6 oz. Then, just over a week later, she suffered from a “bowel perforation.”
No wonder sometimes, Michelle calls Josie her “miracle baby.” After all, she survived and grew up into a healthy young teen. Clearly, those bad days remain foremost in the Duggar family’s mind. People reported that when Josie turned nine, Michelle revisited her premature birth again. That year Michelle shared throwback photos of the spindly and sickly baby girl in the NICU. Plus, Michelle noted that it seemed like the “most difficult time” in their lives.

This year, Michelle once again mentioned Josie and the problematic birth. The Counting On star shared a photo of herself with Josie. Her caption read, “Happy 11th birthday, Josie! 🥳💞.” Again, she mentioned Josie’s prematurity and low birth-weight. Then, she talked about how so many people “prayed” for her recovery. Nowadays, Michelle Duggar notes that her daughter’s a ” ball of energy. From the time she wakes up in the morning until her head hits the pillow at night, she rarely slows down!”
Michelle thanks God for saving Josie’s life. Of course, the NICU probably also contributed to that miracle. Finally, the Duggar family accounted noted, ” We love her so much and thank God for these 11 years with her. We know He has great things in store for her life in the future! 💖” Nevertheless, Michelle seems very grateful for her daughter Josie.
TLC fans recall the difficult time for the Duggar family
One fan of Counting On and 19 Kids & Counting spoke about praying all those years ago. They wrote, “I can’t believe it was 11 years ago that we were praying for a miracle to sustain her life. God is so good! Happy Birthday Josie!”
Another fan noted on the post by the Duggar family, “My mom and I prayed for her all those years ago and it’s been amazing to see her grow up!!! Praise Jesus🙌🏻.”
Naturally, a lot of fans also wished Josie Duggar a very “happy birthday.”
