‘Shameless’ Season 11: Did Debbie Become A Registered Sex Offender?

The end of Shameless Season 10 did not look good for Debbie Gallagher (Emma Kenney). As those who watched the previous season know, she started dating an older woman with a lot of money. This was after the woman mistook her for a working girl at a hotel. This got weird when her girlfriend’s daughter (who was under 18) started having feelings for Debbie.

In time Debbie, ended hooking up both with the mother and the daughter. Relationships ended. Feelings got hurt. Debbie got busted. Season 10 ended with police knocking on the door with an arrest warrant for Debbie. And, Debbie? Well, she did what Gallaghers do best. She ran.

Shameless Season 11: So, what happened to Debbie?

In Season 11, Episode 1 things fast forward a bit. Debbie eventually got caught by the police, went to jail, and ended up on probation. As the episode progresses. Debbie learns the fact that her victim was “nearly 18” isn’t really the reason why she didn’t do jail time. Turns out, a lot of predators get off with a slap on the wrist lately.

Debbie, however, ends up becoming a registered sex offender. And, she quickly learns the hard way how hard it is to get a job.

Early on in the Episode 1 of Season 11, we learn Debbie is wearing an ankle monitor. There’s actually a scene where her daughter Frannie is decorating her ankle monitor. How sweet, right? Gotta love those touching Gallagher bonding moments.

Debbie proceeds to take Frannie to school. And, we see she can’t get too close to the school. Why? Well, because she’s now a registered sex offender. Debbie seemingly bonds with other registered sex offenders who are also dropping kids off at the school. Gross, right?

Hot lesbian convict welder?

Debbie and her girlfriend Sandy quickly realize being a sex offender makes it hard to get a job. They also realize there is an error on Debbie’s sex offender profile. It said her victim was 7 instead of 17. Debbie tried to start a mobile handyman business. But, potential customers started to run her off after finding her on the sex offender registry.

Sandy, however, thought Debbie’s mugshot was hot. She noted the dash of cleavage really made for a great picture. So, she created an Instagram account and marketed Debbie as a hot lesbian convict welder. She included Debbie’s hot mugshot. And, she insisted Debbie was only convicted because she was a lesbian.

Sandy informed Debbie she was going viral as lesbians and creepy, perverted men everywhere wanted to hire her.
