Hannah Brown Gets Candid On Mental Health Day

Hannah Brown revealed some very deep and candid aspects of herself recently. And, she seemingly took World Mental Health Day very seriously. Taking to her Instagram, The Bachelorette alum peeled away her deepest inner emotions as she encouraged her followers to get real about themselves.

Hannah Brown won a lot of fans when she took the lead in The Bachelorette. Then, she gathered even more in Peter Weber’s The Bachelor season. Next, she took away the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars. Previously, she won the crown as Miss Alabama USA 2018. Millions of ABC fans adore her. And, many of her younger followers believe that she lives the American dream.

With that kind of track record, what could possibly be wrong in Hannah Brown’s life? Well, it turns out, a lot of insecurities and vulnerabilities hide under that gorgeous veneer. We reported that Hannah started her Instagram challenge over the weekend. She attempts normalizing “vulnerabilities.” So, The Bachelorette alum invited people to reveal their inner issues. “[she] wrote, “post a photo of yourself on IG and introduce yourself in the caption… like REALLY introduce yourself and don’t be afraid to be raw and real!!”

World Mental Health Day, Hannah gets candid

On October 10, Hannah shared something from her younger days. In fact, in a very long post, she poured out her heart. And, she revealed that one day as a young woman, a doctor asked her about her happiness. Then, she revealed nobody ever asked her that before. Reminiscing, she noted, “I’m the girl that is always wearing a smile! How dare he ask?! But oh, thank God he did.”

However under it all, she felt unhappy. Hannah described how she told the doctor she felt unhappy. In fact, with no reason to feel that way, she closed it off. But, that day, she spilled her heart out. And, she admitted, “I have reason to be happy, but I just can’t really feel it.”

From the day she admitted that, she made a lot of progress with her mental health. But, she also admits that sometimes, she slips.  To this day, sometimes she struggles with setbacks. So, keeping mentally healthy is very important for her.

Hannah encourages her followers

Reaching, out, Hannah told her fans, “Be gentle with yourself. Be humble during the process.” And, she reminded them, “We’ve got this. You aren’t alone.” Of course, many of her fans loved the message. In fact, she seemingly hit all the notes when it comes to the mission of Mental Health Day. The WHO explained the point of it. That’s “raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.”
