How Do ‘RHONY’ Fans Feel About Eboni K. Williams Joining The Show?
Eboni K. Williams will join RHONY as the first black cast member. This comes after Garcelle Beauvais made history as the first black woman on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Previously, rumors swirled that motivational coach Bershan Shaw would join the series as well. However, that only turned out to be a rumor, so far.
The news about Eboni joining the show is for real. Bravo confirmed the news. She will join the show alongside Leah McSweeney, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan. There have been calls for a cast shakeup to take place, especially after a disappointing Season 12.

On Thursday, October 8, People confirmed the news of Eboni K. Williams joining the cast of RHONY. However, TMZ was the first to report the news earlier that day. The new cast member released a statement to the outlet. Eboni exclaimed that she’s excited to be a part of the popular reality show.
“NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife,” she said in a statement. “Can’t wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn’t been seen before. Anyone who’s aware of my work knows I don’t hold back. I’m going to keep it just as real here as I do everywhere else.”
The 37-year-old works as the host and executive producer of Revolt Black News. In addition, she has credits on Fox News, Fox Sports, NBA 2K, among others. Eboni earned her law degree at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. There, she received her Juris Doctor degree, in which she specialized in family law and civil litigation.

The North Carolina-native is also an author. In 2017, she released her book titled Pretty Powerful: Appearance, Substance & Success. Eboni’s casting comes after RHONY lost both Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley. Tinsley left the show mid-season to move to Chicago to be with her fiance Scott Kluth. Back in August, Dorinda announced her departure from the show after five seasons.
