Michelle Stafford Is ‘Disappearing’ And Taking A Break For A While
Michelle Stafford from The Young and the Restless has decided to “disappear” for a bit. However, she will still be on TV as Phyllis. Michelle is taking a social media break which most stars do for mental health reasons.
Fans will know Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. Michelle became an instant hit when she joined the show in 1994. Her character was obsessed with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) who regularly and brazenly introduced herself as “Mrs. Danny Romalotti, the mother of Danny Romalotti, Jr.!”
However, after two Emmys and two Soap Opera Digest awards, she left after sixteen years but Phyllis made her return in June 2019.

Tired Of Attacks
Michelle Stafford shared to her Instagram, “I am going to be posting this and then I will be disappearing for a while…” “I’ll tell you why, in a nutshell. Because of posting something, I get attacked for wearing a mask. Moreover for not wearing it or wearing it wrong…or whatever. If I don’t post enough I get attacked because of not using the right hashtag or I get attacked. Lastly, if I don’t respond to somebody in a timely manner, I get attacked. Hell, I may get attacked for this post.
“Frankly, IG isn’t really so much fun anymore,” the two-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress continues, “The majority of you are all filled with beauty. During this incredibly challenging time and I love you. It’s been challenging for every single one of us. Having met with some new challenges in the last few days. Ya know, family first.”
“I am just a bit vulnerable at the moment and really don’t understand attacks of any kind to somebody one doesn’t know,” adds Stafford, noting she’s not taking a total break from social media. “I will still be doing my SKIN NATION SUNDAY every Sunday, as it is a very positive group!! Michelle Stafford has had a successful career in television. Not only with The Young and the Restless, but with numerous other television series. Stafford even ventured into movies at one point.
According to Soaphub when Stafford’s character returned in 2019, Phyllis currently has shifted her focus to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but she hasn’t lost any of her fire! Fan’s love to watch Michelle Stafford play Phyllis Summer’s and everyone hopes she sticks around for a long time. The show is back into production after filming stopped because of the coronavirus.
