Clare Crawley quitting The Bachelorette before things really got going has shook some fans. Sources said she fell in love with one of her suitors. The fact they could get to know each other before filming made the process a little different for her. Reportedly, they FaceTimed and talked a lot. Now that someone else is replacing Clare Crawley, another member of Bachelor Nation is comparing her situation to his season.

Ben Higgins was the Bachelor on the eleventh season. In a recent interview on the Almost Famous podcast, he told Ashley Iaconetti about relating to Clare. Higgins proposed to Lauren Bushnell in the end. While the two didn’t stay together, Ben is grateful for his time on the show.

Just like Clare Crawley, Ben Higgins had an instant connection to one of his contestants. He said, “two days in, I was like, ‘holy cow this girl is fantastic, and she is – Lauren is fantastic.” Ben told the producers he wasn’t sure how to move forward.

Ben said they told him something he was grateful for. They said, “Ben, you have one opportunity in your life to date and get to know multiple people at one time.” Their advice was to get to know the women and take his time. The producers said to pursue them while he had the chance. In a recent Instagram post, Clare posted a quote from Ruby Dahl. The quote is about a woman proud of herself for all the battles she fought and won.

Ben Said The Show Pulled Him In Different Directions

Ben felt a connection with Lauren Bushnell from the beginning, but he continued to go on other dates. Clare Crawley didn’t have other men to distract her from her number one. He said over time he fell for more than one and famously told Bushnell and Jojo Fletcher he loved them. Ben said, “I would just recommend to any lead, like, I know your heart might be pulled but you might want to stick it through.” He’s said it changed his life in only positive ways.

While it is surprising for Clare to have already left the show, it does make sense. Unprecedented things are more common now because of the pandemic.
