‘Below Deck’ Captain Lee Rosbach Honors Late Son With Touching Tattoo

Below Deck star Captain Lee Rosbach honored his late son Joshua. The Bravo star’s son died from an accidental overdose one year ago. The reality star revealed to his followers on Wednesday, July 29, that he’s paying tribute to his son.

He’s in the process of getting a sketch of his son’s face on the left side of his chest, right above his heart. It’ll also contain the words, “Where’s Josh?” It’s a touching tribute to Lee’s son. Josh was only 42 years old when he died of an accidental overdose on July 22, 2019. He battled addiction for two decades before his tragic loss.

As per People, Captain Lee Rosbach honored his late son Joshua with a heartbreaking tattoo. He took to Instagram to reveal a tattoo he’s getting done on his chest.

“Getting started at High Spirits Tattoo with the man Darrien,” Lee wrote in the caption. “I’ll keep y’all posted as we move along.”

The reality star tagged High Spirits Tattoo Co, which is a tattoo shop located in Tamarac, Florida. Also, the 70-year-old also revealed that he helped design his wife Mary Anne’s wedding ring to include a heart that displays Joshua’s name, including some of his ashes inside, as per The Daily Dish.

“This is what we have done in remembrance of our precious son Joshua, who left us one year ago today,” Lee captioned an Instagram video of the ring. “We took my brides wedding ring, had the center diamond replaced with a heart with some of Joshua’s ashes placed inside the heart and his name inscribed on the outside and then soldered shut. This way Mary Anne can keep a part of him with her always.”

The couple also gave a scholarship to an individual in Joshua’s name. The scholarship includes free in-house treatment at the Awaken Recovery Center located in Greenacres, Florida.

Cast and crew send their love to Captain Lee

Many cast and crew members from Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean shared their messages of support on Captain Lee’s latest Instagram post.

“Absolutely beautiful, love it and you,” Kasey Cohen from Below Deck Med, wrote in the comments section.

Courtney Skippon, who appeared on Season 6 of Below Deck, simply wrote, “Love you.” Anastasia Surmava from Below Deck Med added, “this is wonderful. Sending all of my love and positive energy to you and your beloved.”

Kelley Johnson from the earlier seasons of Below Deck wrote, “Best of luck Captain! Hope it’s not painful and it goes smoothly.”

Other Bravo celebrities showed their love as well. For example, Mercedes Javid from Shahs of Sunset called Lee’s new tattoo “beautiful tribute.” Patricia Altschul from Southern Charm, who’s good friends with Lee, also shared a heartwarming message.

“What a perfect tribute…sending much love to you and Mary Anne.”
