Below Deck Med star Hannah Ferrier calls Season 5 “weird AF.” This comes after she got an unflattering edit on the show. During this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, it appears that the chief stew is fed up with her job. Even fans noticed that she’s not acting like her usual self.

In some of the scenes, Hannah takes a mysterious pill before bed. Viewers speculated whether she was taking the prescription drug Valium, especially after the joke she cracked to third stew Jessica More. Hannah confirmed that she took Advil, not Valium, before bedtime. Now, she’s responding to her edit on the show.

Below Deck Med star responds to her poor edits

Hannah Ferrier is not happy with the edit she’s been given this season. It was especially clear on Monday’s night episode of Below Deck Med. On Tuesday, July 21, Hannah tweeted her thoughts on the edits she’s received during Season 5. Even viewers slammed production for making it appear as she’s popping pills, as per TV Shows Ace. The chief stew explained her edits and called this season “weird AF,” as per Inquisitr.

There was a series of scenes in which the chief stewardess was seen taking a pill at the end of each night in her cabin. The scenes were really apparent on Monday night’s episode. During the episode, Hannah cracked a joke about taking Valium to deal with the onboard craziness. Later in the episode, Captain Sandy Yawn pulled Hannah aside and said she’s not acting like herself. Most Below Deck Med fans noticed the edit and questioned the back-to-back scenes.

“Seriously what is with these candid shots of @hannahferrier taking pills before bed??!!!” one fan wrote. “What’s #BelowDeckMed production doing.”

“Hannah can’t be possibly the only person who takes medicine on this boat, right?” another fan asked. “Why do they only show her taking her meds?”

Hannah fired back at the accusations. The reality star revealed that she took an Advil to help treat her feet, which swelled up at the end of each shift. The yachtie said she needed over-the-counter medicine because the industry is a “young person’s game” and she feels the need to keep up. The crew was in the middle of their busiest charter season yet.

Hannah Ferrier deals with lots of challenges

Below Deck Med has been filled with difficulties for the crew. Hannah Ferrier and her second stew, Lara Flumiani, were at odds from the first day on. The situation intensified so much that the Italian stewardess quit on the spot. Then Christine “Bugsy” Drake made her triumphant return, much to Hannah’s chagrin.

As fans know, Hannah and Bugsy previously worked on Season 2 of the show and it didn’t turn out well. They butted heads because of their creative differences when it comes to working as a stewardess at sea.

Fans noticed a change in Hannah once Bugsy returned. “Am I the only one that thinks bringing bugsy back killed Hannah’s spirit [sic],” one Below Deck Med viewer tweeted. Hannah responded to the tweet with a cat shaking its head, indicating no. She previously hinted that this season of the yachting show would be her last.

And while Season 5 is currently airing now, Hannah says she’s already over the drama. During her interview on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, the 33-year-old revealed that her pregnancy has changed her perspective on things.

“I was kind of dreading this season a little bit and really nervous, but, I know it sounds awful, but I just don’t really care anymore,” Hannah admitted. “It’s such a small and significant thing when I actually look at what I’m growing inside me now.”

Hannah explained that she didn’t want the stress or anxiety from the show to affect her pregnancy. But it looks like she’s been shifting her perspective ever since she started working on the boat. Below Deck Med fans noticed a difference in Hannah’s behavior during Season 5. Only time will tell if she’s simply over it or if she doesn’t want to deal with the drama anymore.

Below Deck Med airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
