‘RHOC’: Tamra Judge Shares Health Update On Ex-Husband Simon Barney
Tamra Judge shared an update on her ex-husband Simon Barney. He announced his cancer diagnosis back in February. Thankfully, Tamra has something positive to share. Over the weekend, she took to Instagram to answer fan questions.
Most of those questions were about Simon’s health. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed that he “finished treatment” for his Stage 3 throat cancer. That’s good news for both of their families.
RHOC alum shares update on Simon Barney
As per People, Tamra Judge shared an update with her followers on her ex-husband Simon Barney. It’s a sign of hope as he continues to battle cancer. Last weekend, Tamra revealed that Simon “finished treatment a few months” ago for his throat cancer and is “getting stronger every day.”
“He’s staying positive! We are praying that he kicked cancer’s a** but we don’t know yet,” Tamra added.
Tamra and Simon’s son, Spencer, 19, and daughter Sophia, 14, are quarantining with her amid the coronavirus pandemic in Orange County. They are not staying with their father due to his weakened immune system from his cancer treatments. The exes also share a daughter Sidney, 21, who is currently away at college.

The former Bravo personality had different news back in April. Tamra revealed on Instagram that Simon was doing “as well as expected.”
“Very difficult to see him like this,” she added.
The reality star also said that her family was “hanging in there,” She admitted that having the kids away from their father has been hard on them.
“Most of all they miss their dad,” she wrote.
Tamra Judge says Simon Barney’s cancer diagnosis influenced RHOC exit
Back in February, Simon confirmed to People that he was diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer. He wanted to speak out about it in an effort to be an example to others. Also, Simon is remaining positive during this time.
“I think everything happens for a reason, I think your destiny is pretty much set for you, and you’re here to learn lessons,” he continued. “This has been a tough lesson for me. And I’m hoping it can be a lesson for others, too.”
When he spoke to People, he said he was undergoing a dual treatment of chemotherapy and radiation. Tamra and Simon divorced in 2011 after 13 years of marriage. Earlier this year, Tamra confirmed her exit from RHOC and said that Simon’s cancer diagnosis played a role in that decision.

“It made me reevaluate my life,” she said in a separate interview with People. “The reality of it is, after Eddie’s heart condition and now Simon with cancer, it’s just very hard for me to want to go on a show where people are screaming and yelling and arguing about things that don’t even matter. They’ve taught me that life is precious, and you don’t get that time back.”
Both Tamra and Simon agree that his battle has helped bring their family back together.
“It’s kind of like a new beginning for me and my family,” Tamra said. “It’s really brought everyone closer together.”
