‘Sister Wives’: Maddie Brown Brush Writes Loving Tribute To Evie K, Her ‘Lemonade’ Daughter
Sister Wives fans heard back in October last year, that Maddie Brown Brush worried her daughter, Evie K, might suffer bullying as she grows up. Evie was born with three missing fingers, a toe and her fibula. More complications mean Evie’s likely to find life hard going. But, her daughter still meets her milestones despite her FATCO syndrome. Now, the TLC star described her as their “lemonade” daughter.
Sister Wives star Maddie shares her tribute and describes Evie K as ‘lemonade’
On Sunday, June 14, Maddie shared a photo of Evie wearing a lot of yellow. The cute little girl’s leg deformity’s quite clear in the photo. But, Maddie noted that if she struggles with achieving a goal, she simply tries another way to get things done. Some fans asked Maddie a while back if her daughter will learn to walk. Maddie told hem that she would, but in the future, she faces some surgery. In the meantime, the little girl just figures out the best way for her to get mobile.
The Sister Wives star wrote in her tribute, “She is resilient and one hell of a fighter. As she grows and develops she has trial and error of how to do normal function with her #limbdifference. but she gets right back up and tries another way.” But, the rest of the post dwelled on how she and Caleb made “lemonade” out the lemon that life handed them when Evie came along. Actually, she mentioned Caleb first talked about lemons and lemonade when they got the diagnosis about Evie’s missing digits.

Yellow – the color of Evie’s outfits
Maddie Brown Brush noted that “Caleb said that he found it interesting that yellow was the color of my mood at this time since life had given us some lemons and we were going to make lemonade.” Previously, Maddie seemed rather keen on colors other than yellow. But, she noted, “When I was pregnant I was obsessed with the color yellow.” And to this day, she buys yellow outfits for her little girl. Actually, fans agreed that color suits Evie really well.
As for the “lemonade,” Maddie wrote, “Evie is our lemonade. She is our sunshine on a cloudy day. She is the happiest little thing, with some added sass.” It certainly looks like what started out as a lemon certainly became a treasure for Caleb and Maddie. The Sister Wives star wrote at the end, “Evie is our lemonade. 🍋”
