‘When Calls The Heart’: Creator Brian Bird Calls For Fans To Rally For Another Season
When Calls The Heart airs the finale of Season 7 on Sunday, April 26 at 8 p.m. on Hallmark Channel. No official announcement yet came out for another season. And with creator Brian Bird calling fans to rally for another one, that sounds a bit grim for “Hearties.” The show’s certainly got a lot of fans, and their voices could make all the difference when it comes to renewal decisions.
When Calls The Heart Season 7 draws to a close with no renewal for Season 8 yet
TV Shows Ace reported that Pascale Hutton, who acts in the role of Rosemary, hopes for another season of the show. Recall in the current season, she and Lee try moving on to find some “value in their life without children.” Certainly, some sort of resolution for them could justify another season of the show. And, in fact, Elizabeth, the lead star of the show seems stuck in making a decision about her own direction. Naturally, nobody wants to see the show come to a final end with a cliffhanger.
Since March, Brian’s been encouraging fans to call for a renewal of When Calls the Heart. And, the sense of urgency gets helped along by the fact that the finale of When Hope Calls also wraps up soon. Good Housekeeping noted that despite the great ratings for the current season, Brian repeatedly uses the same hashtags. In March he posted on Twitter and wrote, “Unless the #Hearties get busy lobbying for #Season8WouldBeGreat.” That came after a fan said only “five episodes” were left.
It's okay to cry. Cry this: #Season8WouldBeGr8 🙂 #Hearties @hallmarkchannel @SCHeartHome https://t.co/DtjuKT1nfs

Brian Bird pushes fans with a hashtag for a new season
#Season8WouldBeGreat appeared in a few more tweets by Brian Bird. On April 13, with just two episodes left, one fan wrote, “Great episode… But just thinking that there are only more 2 episodes left for the end, makes me want to cry.” In reply, Brian tweeted, “It’s okay to cry. Cry this: #Season8WouldBeGr8.” Fans rally to the cry and the hashtag. One fan noted, “Remember that the future of Hope Valley is in our hands. #Hearties. The Cast & Crew are having us decide…#Season8WouldBeGr8.”
Another When Calls the Heart fan also shared their thoughts on Twitter. They used the hashtag as well and noted, “I’m grateful for this show and the joy it brings into my home each week! The cast members are like family!❤ #Season8WouldBeGr8.” Many other fans call for the Hearties Team to join in the call for the next season of the beloved show. In fact, contemplating no future episodes seems unbelievable to many of them.
This isn't a "team" post.
This is a Team #Hearties post.
