Could Kody Brown’s Dreams Move The Family Back To Utah?
Sister Wives fans learned Kody Brown dreamed of running for office in Utah last season. In the current season, we see a lot of friction going on between Kody and the wives after their move to Flagstaff, Arizona. But, all this bickering might be for nothing, thanks to new laws in Utah. Might they throw in the Flagstaff towel and return to Utah?
Sister Wives – Kody Brown’s dream about Utah
If you watched last year’s season of the TLC show, you may recall that Kody came out very suddenly and discussed his desire to run for office in Utah. TV Shows Ace reported in February 2019 that Kody got “quite heated about Utah.” He did one of those big family conferences with the whiteboard and posters.
He said, “Listen, I might be suffering delusions of grandeur but I wanted to go. I wanted to run for office and I wanted to get in control of my destiny… I’ve been exiled from a state that I think as many people love me as hate me.”
It all came when the Flagstaff move still seemed in flux. Janelle went on about the kids and moving them again. Robyn looked unenthusiastic, and Meri seemed shocked, noting he never mentioned that before. Meanwhile, Mariah couldn’t understand why he wanted a return to the state that practically “kicked him out.” But, things changed since then, so might the Sister Wives family undergo yet another move?
New changes to polygamy laws in Utah
Fox News reported this week, that polygamy changes to the legislation in Utah means no more jail time. Their report noted, “a state lawmaker says it’s time to remove the threat of jail time for otherwise law-abiding polygamists.” Sen. Deidre Henderson, a Republican proposed that these types of relationships should become “an infraction rather than a felony.” The outlet also noted that the proposal received lots of support and became” unanimously approved by a legislative panel Monday.”
Recall that the earlier seasons of Sister Wives showed the family living in Utah. Before Robyn came along, Meri, Janelle, and Christine all lived in one big home with Kody Brown and the kids. This season, Janelle talked about how much she misses that. Meanwhile, it emerges that Christine hates the idea. But, why not can the whole Flagstaff thing now and think about going back to Utah?
After all, they own several properties in Flagstaff and can’t agree on where to live. Why not just sell up and go back home? At least if they returned to Utah, Meri would be closer to her BNB and they still have family there.
