‘America’s Got Talent’: Despite Staff Controversy, The Show Goes On – Angelina Jordan Looks Good
America’s Got Talent started off with controversy. Back in early December a lot of toxic stuff came out about Gabrielle Union’s exit from the series. But, the show goes on and the talent delivers some excellent surprises of its own. And, Angelina Jordan brings a great performance. She looks really good and could win accolades yet again.
America’s Got Talent – Controversy didn’t stop the show from bringing out some great talent
TV shows Ace reported in December that conflicting stories arose about Gabrielle Union. The controversy came about as one outlet suggested she was “let go.” That came after she complained about a “toxic” work environment. But, NBC sent out a statement that suggested they were working with her over her issues. “We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate,” they said.
In the meantime, the show’s not stopping over staff issues and a toxic workplace. In fact, some excellent talent’s emerging. One of those is Angelina Jordan. Billboard reminds us that she’s just 13-years-old and comes from Norway. “She won Norway’s Got Talent in 2014,” the outlet wrote. On January 6 she blew the America’s Got Talent judges out the water and scored her golden buzzer from Heidi Klum. So, we’ll next see her on the live shows.
Powerhouse performance by Angelina Jordan gets praise from Simon Cowell
Simon Cowell certainly hands out his praise with caution, as fans of the show know. But after Angelina sang Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, he spoke up. Simon said, “This was an amazing performance,” E! News noted. He also added, “I don’t think you know how good you are.” The other judges, Howie Mandel and Alesha Dixon also expressed how impressed they were. But it was Heidi who hit that golden buzzer.
Not only can this talent sing, but her backstory’s interesting as well. She wore no shoes on stage. And, her reason’s very touching. She said that back when she was young (like about six) she saw a girl with no shoes and scarred feet. So, she gave her shoes to the poor girl. Now she says, “Whenever I’m on the stage I’m always reminded about all the children who don’t have any parents, clothes, and shoes. She’s always in my heart.”
‘Waited ten years to sing for Simon’
Before Angelina launched into her song, she said on the stage that she “waited ten years to sing for Simon.” She added, “he’s amazing, and he’s just a legend.” Well, buttering up Simon won’t help. But, she put it out there so well and he really loved her performance. Those riffs and frills seemed to go down very well with the audience as well.
