Duggar: Jill Dillard Slammed For Shopping Online For Festive Season
Duggar traditions differ from many other people as they don’t do Santa. They also don’t believe in giving big gifts, although these days they do give small ones. Plus, they put up big banners to celebrate the birthday of Christ. They usually start these celebrations after Thanksgiving. Gatherings include the annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. But this year, Jill Dillard seems determined to buy gifts. And, she prefers doing that online. But, some people slammed her for it.

The annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party held by the Duggars seemed to be not much of an event this year. TV Shows Ace reported that Anna Duggar shared about it, but that’s about it. And, we don’t know if Jill Duggar went to it. But, she did like Anna’s post. Jill seems a bit distant from her family these days, so we’re not even certain she’ll spend time with Jim Bob and Michelle this Christmas. But, she seems determined that her kids get to enjoy some of the holiday fun.
Cheatsheet reported that already, she and the kids cuddle up on the couch watching movies and eating popcorn. Plus, they put up their Christmas tree and decorated it, just like most other families. Jill’s getting into the Christmas spirit, and her mom-in-law also chipped in with gingerbread. She and the kids ate icecream, and she baked some oat cookies. Now, she said she bought gifts online. But, there’s always grumpy people on Duggar Instagrams and some of them slammed her.

Jill Dillard shops online – critics come out on Instagram
Jill Dillard’s popular on Instagram and often shares recipes and things about the kids. Her fans enjoy visiting her there, but so do trolls. It seems no matter what Jill does, someone finds fault with it. Obviously excited for Christmas, Jill shared about buying gifts online. Her caption asked, “Anyone else do most of their Christmas shopping online?! It has been a lifesaver for us when it’s tough to do shopping with the kids tagging along.” Plus, she added that it’s a convenient way to budget for gifts. They prefer no “distractions,” and online shopping provides that experience.
Jill also noted that they keep lists of what people might want in the Duggar family. That way, they have a fair idea of what to look out for. Next, she asked, “Anyone else have tips or favorite places/ways to shop efficiently and wisely?” One critic decided to tell Jill, that shopping online’s “lazy.” Another slammed Jill saying, “Support your local brick and mortar stores. Keep employee’s jobs.”

In defense of Jill Dillard
Well, Jill replied to critics about supporting local businesses. She said, “Love our local places too…just the season of life we are in right now with littlies makes it easier to shop online for most things.” Jill’s cousin, Amy Duggar also said, “I try to support local when I can!! But Amazon and I are like best friends!” Other fans also agreed that when you have little kids like Jill, it’s tricky to shop. And, others noted that Amazon employs people too, so at least the money gets spread around.
