Before Blake Horstmann Released Texts With ‘BIP’ Star Caelynn Miller-Keyes, She Offered To Do A Joint Interview
When Blake Horstmann and Caelynn Miller-Keyes from Bachelor in Paradise were first getting to know each other, it was on their own. They weren’t on the beach yet and FaceTimed ahead of time. Then when they got there, she felt like Blake ignored her.
On the beach, she expressed to other people there that she felt silenced by Horstmann. When the show came out and the public heard what she said, controversy happened. When her comments aired, Blake went onto Instagram to defend himself. He released a whole lot of texts between him with Caelynn Miller-Keyes. He said the texts proved she just wanted to have a more casual relationship. Miller-Keyes responded with a post on Instagram too.
She said, “I did not go on a show to ruin someone’s character. I attempted to address my feelings and the situation with Blake face to face. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t get the same respect in return.”
It mortified her their private texts were out in the world for everyone to see. She trusted him and he betrayed her.
Caelynn Miller-Keyes Tried To Negotiate With Him Before The Text Release
When Caelynn Miller-Keyes was on Nick Viall’s podcast she said they talked before he released the texts. She said, “I talked to him and was like ‘Listen, there are things in there that I feel like are unfair towards you. There’s only so much that can air in the conversations that we had, and I’ve talked to multiple people about this. I’m sorry that you’re getting heat.’” She said she apologized for a lot and said she’d do a joint interview and he asked her why he would trust her to do an interview.

Miller-Keyes said she told him there was a better way to handle the situation and he wouldn’t give her the opportunity. She told Viall she got how he felt before he released them because it’s how she felt after the fact. Caelynn said she asked herself if she was such a horrific person that people were bashing her all the time.
She said it felt, at the time, like her world was crumbling. About the incident, Caelynn said it was a low point. She said, “it was hell, I mean it was absolute hell. But I’m so happy with the person I am today.” Keyes said it helped her communicate better and she’s more aware of her flaws.
According to The Cheat Sheet, Caelynn Miller-Keyes says she wished she’d never said he ‘silenced’ her. In retrospect she said that was a poor choice of words on her part. He made her feel like he was ashamed of her.
