‘Counting On’ Star Jessa Duggar Reveals Her Toddler Has Speech Delays
The Duggars have always been very open with their achievements and their struggles, because they’ve always been in the spotlight. This is especially true when it comes to their children. In the latest episode of Counting On Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald left their three-year-old with her brothers to take their two-year-old to the doctor. Henry went to have his hearing checked and his speech evaluated.
Jessa revealed she had thought there might be a problem with his hearing since he was young. She said, “we realized probably since thee age of 18 months old that he wasn’t communicating like his older brother did at that age or other kids did at that age.”

All children develop differently, and Jessa Duggar acknowledged that she knew that according to OK Magazine. She just wanted to make sure because she didn’t feel like he ever really caught on. She said he just grunts and points a lot. Jessa said she felt like Ben could be more level-headed about it while she stresses out as a mom over him being delayed possibly.

Luckily, the doctor told the couple Henry’s hearing had no issues. His speech is delayed for his age and the doctor recommended a speech pathologist to help him moving forward. They were happy to know nothing was wrong with his hearing. It’s good that Jessa could share the fears she had about her son, it can help fans who are going through the same things with their children.
A few months ago, Jessa shared a video while she read with Henry and his speech was coming along. Now that the couple has a third baby Ivy Jane, the article says Henry has bonded with her the most. Jessa Duggar and Ben recently celebrated being married for five years. They even took one of their kids out for a date to celebrate.
She captioned a photo, “today we celebrated half a decade of marriage. Grandma D kept the boys, and Ivy tagged along. She said they got bonbons, an Italian dinner, and gelato. Fans will continue to follow along Henry’s journey this season. The toddler has a lot of people in his corner, so he’ll probably be just fine.
