‘Counting On’: Lauren Duggar Opens Up About Losing Baby Asa In Next Episode
Counting On‘s next episode airs on Tuesday, October 29, and it reveals some of the issues faced by Lauren Duggar. She and Josiah lost a child on October 4, 2018, when she was about one-month along in her pregnancy. In the upcoming episode, Lauren talks about her pain and depression. Of course, she’s expecting another baby now, so the episode’s a bit of a throwback. TV Shows Ace reported about the new baby, explaining. “Lauren said, ‘Life is such a gift and something I cherish more now, with all that we have gone through this past year. This pregnancy hasn’t been easy. I treasure every moment and I am reminded daily that life is truly a miracle from God.'”

Meanwhile, Lauren opens up about her struggles with grief and depression. Later, Jessa and Ben find out the gender of Baby #3.” Luckily for fans who may grow upset watching the pain that Lauren expresses, the new pregnancy seems okay. And, the new baby should arrive next month.
In the Counting on Episode titled “Count Your Blessings,” Michelle talks to Lauren about the loss of baby Asa. For the audience, she explains about dealing with depression at the time. No doubt, people in a similar situation gain some insights or comfort from the message. We’ll see that a box, possibly of mementos that arose from that first pregnancy gets discussed. They kept a box labeled Asa which well see in the episode.
Lauren and Josiah write letters to their baby Asa
Baby Asa got letters from his parents, and a mention in the gender reveal for the new baby. So, it looks like they never met the baby, but he’s certainly very precious to the Counting On couple. It’s probably natural then, that during the month they lost Asa, they shared about it on their Instagram.
On Sunday, they shared, “Sending love ❤️ this month to any parent who has lost a baby. Losing a little life at any stage is heartbreaking and devastating and should not go unnoticed. For all you mamas, yes, even you mamas who’s arms have never had the chance to hold your babies-you’re a Mama! Remember, that you are loved. You are a warrior. You are not alone…not forgotten. (sic).”

Looking forward to the new baby
Looking forward to the new baby, the couple posts quite often. The latest post from the Counting On couple on Instagram came a few days ago. It showed Lauren looking very pregnant but attractive in a black skirt and orange tee. Obviously excited, Lauren wrote, “Feeling so extremely thankful to carry such a precious gift! Can’t believe that l will finally get to hold my baby in my arms before too long!”
