Counting On’: Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth’s Little Boy Gideon Starts Talking
Counting On couple, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth married in May 2017. Their son Gideon Martyn Forsyth, arrived on February 23, 2018. Now he’s 18 months old, and Joy-Ann’s delighted that he’s starting to talk and make some words. Taking to her Instagram Stories Friday night, she shared the happy news via a cute little clip. She may have shared the happy news with her sister Jinger Vuolo, as the Story before that showed her FaceTiming LA.
Counting On kid, Gideon growing up, starts talking
Gideon’s really cute and looks very much like his dad, Austin. Of course, daddy’s not home right now. We heard from Joy-Anna that she’s missing Austin as he’s “using [his] skills and help @mediccorps in the Bahamas!” Maybe that’s why she hopped onto Face Time. In fact, the little vid she made for her Instagram Stories showed the fellow chattering away, and Joy Anne said it was especially for her hubby.
In the short video, indeed, we hear Gideon saying clearly, “Da” and “Ma.” It just the beginning for the little Counting On kid. But, soon no doubt he’ll talk much better. But moms know the moment they speak is clearly a milestone to treasure. So, probably Austin’s also celebrating if he’s able to FaceTime his wife. Fans know that the couple lost their little baby girl after she died in the womb. So, having Gideon around probably brings even more special love for him right now.

Joy-Anna and Austin looked forward to their baby girl, but after her death, they bravely carried on. Life goes on and Gideon still needed them. Loads of fans prayed for them and gave them plenty of space to grieve. So, it’s nice to see Joy-Anna and Gideon bonding even more than before by the looks of it. Plus, daddy away’s a hard time for moms left behind.
On her IG, in another post, Joy-Anna shared that Austin and the other Counting On brothers “just arrived down in the Bahamas with @mediccorps. They will be some of the first on the scene to help with disaster relief after Hurricane Dorian. Please pray for all of the people who have been affected by this terrible hurricane and safety for our medic team!🙏🏼.” Of course, lots of fans were happy to see them giving to a community in need. But, as usual, some people still managed to troll on them.
