‘Honey Boo Boo’s’ Message About Love To Her Niece Ella Plagiarized, But It Spoke Volumes
‘Honey Boo Boo’ shared a loving but in a way, a heartbreaking message of love to her niece Ella. It turned out she plagiarized from somewhere else, but it speaks volumes that she adapted it for herself. And when you think about the dysfunctional family circumstances right now, no wonder she finds inspiration elsewhere.
‘Honey Boo Boo’ keeps sharing about her love for niece Ella
Recently, Alana a.k.a ‘Honey Boo Boo’ shared quite a few posts of her sister Pumpkin’s daughter. Earlier this week, she shared a cute picture of Ella, and captioned it with, “my niece is my greatest blessing in life 🥳💓.” Now that Mama June’s reportedly out the picture, Alana spends lots of time with her niece. That’s because Pumpkin’s got custody of her. Pumpkin’s playing mom and sister to Alana. On her 14th birthday mid-week, it was Pumpkin who reached out to wish her love despite current difficult circumstances.
TV Shows Ace noted that Pumpkin posted, “I love being there for you when you need me most. And I enjoy being your sister mom. I hope today is all you wish for and more ❤️❤️.” Actually, it’s rather sad that the rumors June’s estranged from the girls and hit the road in an RV seem true. No massive birthday greeting went ‘Honey Boo Boo’s’ way from June. During the last season of the show, we saw Alana opt to live with Pumpkin as her mom plummeted downhill with drugs and Geno. So, finding a little person to love must be special for Alana.

The plagiarized message to her niece gets a bit heartbreaking
Fans of Mama June’s family sometimes need to consider how very young ‘Honey Boo Boo’ is. So, perhaps we shouldn’t condemn her for taking someone else’s work and forgetting to attribute the author. Obviously, it spoke to her, granting her the words to explain why she loves her niece so much. In part, the piece, originally written by Andrea Johnson and published by Odyssey Online was about the joys of loving without the responsibilities of being a parent.
However, it’s not so much about loving without restriction that’s a heartbreaker for Alana. Further down in the wording, it says, “The love I have for my nephew is so pure. It’s the love that is just there. I don’t have to choose to show love every day, I don’t have to forgive, I don’t have to worry if it is reciprocated, it is just there.” Well, Alana took out the word ‘nephew’ and penned in ‘niece.’ But, if you read those words they obviously resonated deeply within her.

The words that speak volumes for Alana
Look at that short line again: “The love I have for my [niece] is so pure. It’s the love that is just there. I don’t have to choose to show love every day, I don’t have to forgive, I don’t have to worry if it is reciprocated, it is just there.” Look at her current situation with her mom, Mama June. The love from Mama June right now is allegedly just not there. Perhaps Alana’s not feeling very loved as June puts her drugs and Geno before her. With June’s behavior, maybe Alana found it hard to show love for her mom every day. After all, she cried with a broken heart over her mom who seemed unmoved. And, even if Alana still loves her mom, it’s certainly not being reciprocated right now.
So, let’s not condemn ‘Honey Boo Boo’ for using those words as a reflection of herself right now. Perhaps we should be glad for her that in this fractured life, she’s finding comfort from somewhere. Hopefully, her new education at her first real school will soon cover attribution and plagiarism in class.
