‘Counting On’: Joy-Anna Forsyth Gets Lectured On Washing Sheets And Towels

Counting On Joy-Anna Forsyth

Counting On critics never miss an opportunity to lecture and scold the Duggars, it seems. Now, Joy-Anna Forsyth got lectured on washing towels and sheets. It all came on a perfectly innocent photo of little Gideon helping his mom out with the laundry. Actually, it seems that little kids helping mom with the laundry’s dear to the hearts of fans. But one person managed to find something to complain about.

Counting On critics love pointing fingers, even about when to wash towels and sheets

In some ways, the extended and close family must be a comfort to the Duggar kids. But, living their entire lives out on television must be really hard. Social media means anyone from behind a keyboard can say almost anything they like to them. Now, Joy-Anna, seldom controversial, manages to get criticized over how often she does her laundry, of all things. Always ready to pounce on the slightest thing, critics feel no hesitation to lecture or complain.

In her post on Instagram, Joy shared the cutest picture of her son Gideon. The Counting On star captioned it with, “Since living in the camper we do laundry about once a week. Which means we’ve got 2-3 loads to tackle.” She added, “Gideon likes to ‘help’ me switch the laundry over and he gets so proud of himself when it’s all finished!😍” Actually, fans noted how the little fellow looked like he rummaged around for his favorite shirt.

Laundry and little kids seem to bring treasures memories for lots of people

Joy-Anna’s not alone in enjoying the sweet antics of her son helping with the laundry. Many of her followers commented on the precious memories they share. One said, “I started teaching my little grandson how to turn on the machines and start them (two separate buttons on my machines). He’s been helping with laundry (at least pushing the buttons) since he was 5 months old. Now, he’s 18 months. He helps put things from the washer to the dryer and even tries folding. I love their willingness to learn and help.”

Other people just recall how their grown children were at Gideon’s age. Even washing piles of cloth diapers seems a special memory in later years. But, not appearing to appreciate Joy’s pleasure at sharing her chores with her son, one critic only picked on the bad things. While Joy, Gideon, and her husband Austin look perfectly healthy right now, it seems the Counting On stars live life dangerously.

Criticism for Joya-Anna’s laundry

The criticism is not totally baseless, but the person really cannot know the conditions within Joy’s home. Certainly, CNET and various other outlets recommend drying towels between use. Plus the recommendations are to wash them after three or four uses. But, none of us know how many towels the Counting On couple own. For all we know, Joy might dry her used towels and keep them aside for washing while they change to new towels. Meanwhile, Cleanpedia reminds us that “As a general rule, it’s a good idea to wash your sheets and pillowcase once a week or every two weeks.”

So, it looks like Joy-Anna scored with the sheets on the clean side. However, the critic posted, “So you only wash towels and sheets once a week? Those should be washed at minimum 2-3 times a week. Especially because you have a small child.” Well, Joy-Anna never reacted to that. And you can hardly blame her. After all, it’s pretty certain Joy-Anna spent much of her growing life helping with the laundry. She has a mother, and she has common sense. Does she need a stranger lecturing her on how and when to wash her towels and sheets? Sound off your thoughts in the comments below.
