‘Counting On’: Bates Family Share Sweet Tribute To Grandma Mary Duggar
Counting On fans heard the very sad news that Jim Bob’s mom Mary Duggar passed away suddenly on Sunday. Tributes from the family poured out on social media, and hundreds of thousands of fans shared their sorrow. Now, the Bates family also took to social media and they posted a very sweet and touching tribute as well.

Grandma Mary Duggar was loved by not only her family. In fact, from the across the world, people who saw her on television were heartsore when news of her death broke. The adult children of the Duggar clan posted blogs and photos. Meanwhile, family friends also had their say. It certainly seems that Mary Duggar was so well loved. The Bates family, who recently shared about Carlin’s wedding to Evan Stewart also posted up a message.
On their Instagram, they left the comments open, and that’s kind because most people who love the Duggars want to comment. Actually, despite the obvious grief of the family, some of the Counting On Duggars experienced trolling issues. However, many fans slammed the nasty people hard.
Sweet tribute by the Bates family
The Bringing Up Bates family and the Duggars are great friends, and they knew Mary very well. In their post, they said, “In honor of such a wonderful and godly lady! I remember Grandma Duggar caring so tenderly for Grandpa Duggar, spoon feeding him, doting on him, and talking to him so lovingly. I remember thinking what a wonderful picture of selfless love!” Of course, many fans of Counting On never met Mary so they appreciated these insights.
Going further, the loving tribute added, “I loved her smile, her laughter, her enthusiasm for ministry, her encouraging words. She always made me feel so loved! She will be greatly missed! [Mary] made an impact on us that will not be forgotten!” Finally, the post read, “Prayers for her family and friends 🙏. Her absence cannot be filled, but her memory will live forever. 😢❤️ #MaryDuggar”

Members of the Counting On show commented on the tribute, as did their fans and followers. Nearly 30 thousand people loved the post in a short time. Jinger Vuolo and Anna Duggar were just two of them who thanked the Bates for their kind message. Other followers felt it was touching that grandma Mary Duggar went to church that morning and “was in heaven” that afternoon.
