However, Brandon had another connection to the series. He was the nephew of Russell Hantz, who himself appeared in multiple Survivor series and is considered one of the franchise’s most famous “villains.” According to Us Weekly, Brandon initially tried to hide this familial connection on Survivor: South Pacific, before ultimately coming clean. Notably, Brandon has also appeared on Russell’s YouTube channel.

As reported by TMZ, Hantz was recently arrested in Texas. The Survivor alum faces charges of racketeering conspiracy and arson. According to an indictment from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, Hantz and thirteen others were facing multiple charges.

It was further alleged that the group was made up of members or associates of a Texas motorcycle gang known as the “Bandidos.”

As the prosecutors claimed, Bandidos were embroiled in a turf war against “B*EAST,” a rival gang. It was further alleged that the Bandidos put out a “smash on site” order against B*EAST. This meant members were asked to assault or even kill their rivals.

A Family Member Claimed Brandon’s Home Had Been Raided By The FBI

The publication confirmed that Hantz hasn’t been accused of assault or murder. However, he is still facing up to 20 years for each of two charges against him, racketeering conspiracy and arson.

According to the publication, a federal law enforcement source confirmed Hantz being charged in the indictment. A relative also said that Brandon’s home had been raided by the FBI. Despite this, it’s believed he left the Bandidos last year.

As Us Weekly noted, it was alleged Hantz was with the Bandidos during an outing to Bimboz Bar and Grill. It was said the members “aided and abetted the assault of 14 members” of a rival gang, identified as “the Greybeard MC.”

The publication also shared information on the Bandidos group. These were said to allegedly wear leather or jean vests that have patches reading either “one percent” or “I support Bandidos Worldwide.” Members must also own and ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

As the documents claimed, the Bandidos operate in “at least 20 countries.” They are also said to have around “approximately 107 chapters in the United States.”
