It seems that Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch fans are almost as intent on proving the show is fake as they are on enjoying it. This has started happening more often each week, as many point out moments where they feel the show has proven it is fake and nothing is real. This week, it all involved a mobile phone.

Here is what happened to have one fan claim the show is once again fake.

Blind Frog Ranch Fans Calling Out “Fake” Scenes

A recent episode of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch had a scene that had some fans thinking that it was faked. This is nothing new, as fans every week find something else they claim is proof that things are not on the up and up for the treasure hunters at the ranch.

This scene, however, had to do with a mobile phone, and many fans said that the person who pointed it out was wrong in their arguments about why this had to be fake. The person posted a thread on Reddit where they said that an upside-down phone proved that the scene wasn’t happening the way the show claimed it was.

I have that phone,” they wrote. “You can’t use it upside down like that and I’ve researched over phone newer then mine. They also arnt able to be used upside down. Thanks man, you ruined the show for me.”

However, many people responded, claiming the OP was wrong:

  • “I’ve got the 20 ultra 5g. But doesn’t for everything. Just pointing out that so long as the app being used does flip upside down, it’s definitely possible.”
  • “It could be a reenactment of an earlier real discovery. Maybe someone coughed and they reshot it. It’s tv. More entertaining than reality.”
  • “I’m not denying it’s fake but on my phone when you use SOME apps you can definitely rotate it upside down and the screen flips so you can use a phone upside down lol.”

Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch Thinks Show Is A ‘Satire”

There are many fans of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch who love the show, but they still think it is all fake. The most ardent fans are not complaining that it is fake because they think it is a satire and the show is making fun of other treasure-hunting shows.

Many fans feel that Blind Frog Ranch‘s paranormal aspects indicate that the show never takes itself seriously. They feel that the show’s entire purpose is to spoof things like The Curse of Oak Island, which takes itself overly seriously at times. Blind Frog Ranch also shares similarities with Skin Walker Ranch, another show fans mostly dismiss as fake.

Also, The fact that the credits refer to the treasure hunters as “talent” has many fans convinced the Discovery Channel knows this is fake and is just playing along.

What are your thoughts on Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch? Do you think it is real, or are they faking everything? Does it matter when it comes to how much you enjoy it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. I don’t care one way or the other, it’s interesting and entertaining, and I do think their are a lot of facts brought out. If you don’t like the show, don’t watch, otherwise, watch and enjoy, that’s what I will be doing.

  2. Who cares if it’s real or fake? What matters is that people enjoy watching it. I’m just waiting for episode 1 of “The Real Housewives of Blind Frog Ranch” so my life can be complete.

  3. Great last comment- it’s all entertainment..I watch shows like this all the time. I also love watching sports, from #1pl soccer to golf…entertainment. Movies from sci-fi to historical events…..again entertainment.

  4. This show is a total fake. This guy bought a 160 acre ranch and didn’t even know it had a big open pit mine on it, which by the way is surrounded by quaking aspen and pine not found at the low altitude of his ranch!? And they had to find this with Lidar? How do you go into a “bead site” with heavy equipment and just dig up whatever you want. I live in Utah and I have seen the feds shut down construction sites in this state if they dig up so much as one arrowhead. Recently a company digging footings for a windmill found 15 thousand year old bones from a camel buried 20 feet deep in alluvium next to my town and shut the whole operation down for 6 months. My advise is that Chad Ollinger cut those nasty dreadlocks and takes a goddamn bath and that the History channel stops bullshitting the public.

    1. Oh Leonard, you made me laugh! I was thinking the same thing! Cut those nasty things off and bath once, please! I stopped watching Oak Island for same reason, got sucked into first season, then realized getting played as the plot line became ridiculous and more complex, only to never find the gold. Same thing here…hokey and dumber, really. As the owner sits in his supposed expensive machinery and sits at the helm for digs, the peons do all the digging and bad acting. Wash, rinse, repeat. Yawwwwwwwn.
