Holiday Touchdown Stars Want A Sequel To Hallmark Christmas Movie

Hallmark’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story was a super success. Now, the stars of the hit Christmas movie want a sequel. People Magazine shared that they want “a baby.” At the November 30 Kansas City premiere, three of the stars of this movie shared their wish for more. The three interviewed were Ed Begley Jr., Megyn Price, and Diedrich Bader. They want to see Hunter King and Tyler Hynes’s characters Alana and Derrick “start a family.”

Begley, whose dramatic performance as Alana’s grandfather was a fan-favorite, shared that filming this Hallmark Christmas movie was special. The 75-year-old actor shared, “We had the best time ever. We want to do it again.” He enthusiastically added, “Let’s do a sequel!”

Megyn Price, who plays Leah, Alana’s mother, revealed, “Yea, we’re pitching the sequel now.” They even have a football-related title. “We’re calling it The Extra Point.”

Diedrich Bader explained, “Yeah, because it’s about a baby.” The 57-year-old actor portrayed Hank, Alana’s father, and Begley’s son. Therefore, it all makes sense that they want to see a fourth generation in a sequel.

Soon, it becomes clear that the trio came up with this idea off the cuff. Bader shared that it was all dreamt up “about 30 seconds ago.”

But, Begley has been in Hollywood too long not to dream big. “We’re all gonna be producers on it and we’re getting paid a lot.”

As this was the network’s biggest movie of the holiday season, they may want to talk to the three actors. Although Hallmark used to not make sequels, they have made a couple now, both from other season’s biggest holiday movies, Haul Out The Holly, and Three Wise Men And A Baby. Holiday Touchdown could easy be called The Extra Point.
