‘Blue Bloods’ Donnie Wahlberg Took Iconic Show Souvenir Home
Blue Bloods is coming to an end, as the iconic family cop drama will officially have its curtain call in a little under two weeks. According to Donnie Wahlberg, there was no way he was going to close this chapter without taking home an iconic souvenir, and he did just that.
Blue Bloods Series Finale Coming Up
As much as show fans (and even cast members) are not happy with the fact that the iconic cop drama following the Reagan family will soon air its final chapter, this is unfortunately the case. Blue Bloods has captivated audiences from the moment it premiered.
All these years later, the show has a loyal fanbase who has been following it for years. These same fans would still be following it if the show decided to continue. Unfortunately, however, that won’t be the case, as the series finale will air on Friday, December 13, at 10 pm ET.
Actor Donnie Wahlberg Made Sure To Leave With Mementos
Actor Donnie Wahlberg commanded the role of Danny Reagan. Danny is a hard-nosed, straight-shooter, a role that, in many ways, was tailor-made for Wahlberg and his rough-around-the-edges portrayal. Like many of the actors who worked on Blue Bloods for years, Wahlberg did not want to see the show end just yet.
However, even though the show is gearing up to premiere the finale, and even though filming on the show is completely in the books, Donnie Wahlberg made sure to grab a few iconic souvenirs before he closed this chapter of his career for good.
What Did Blue Bloods Star Donnie Wahlberg Take With Him From Set?
When an iconic show like Blue Bloods ends, fans always want to get their hands on memorabilia from their favorite programs. With Blue Bloods coming to an end, even Donnie Wahlberg got in on the action, as he recently revealed what he took with him from the set.
According to Wahlberg, he said: “I took my two Danny Reagan costumes — my blue suit and my dress blues. I put them on mannequins and put them in a Wahlburgers.”
The actor went on to add: “I really had no intention of taking anything from the set until I learned that that table and chairs was just sitting in a warehouse somewhere.”
The Reagan dinner table was an iconic piece of show history, and something that viewers always looked forward to in terms of the family dinner scenes. According to Wahlberg, fans will get the chance to sit at the table if they visit Wahlburgers.
Wahlberg said: “I’ll set it up where fans can sit at the table and take pictures. And then I’m going to raffle it probably for charity for the DEA, the Detectives Endowment Association, for the Widows and Children’s Fund.”
