‘Duck Dynasty’ Fans Worried Miss Kay Robertson Died
Although Duck Dynasty originally ended in 2017, it still has a devoted fanbase. One figure who appeared on the show, Miss Kay Robertson, quickly won over fans. Notably, with the news of a reboot, fans grew concerned for Miss Kay thanks to comments Willie Robertson made in a recent video.
Willie Robertson Said A Duck Dynasty Reboot Is Moving Forward
Kay Robertson is the wife of Phil Robertson and mother of Willie Robertson. She especially became known to fans for her love of cooking, whether it was preparing meals for the family or releasing her own cookbook.
Notably, in 2023, Kay and Phil’s love story was adapted into a film titled The Blind. Looking at Kay and Phil at various ages, the film notably takes place before Duck Dynasty, ending in 1985.
While Duck Dynasty originally ended in 2017, it has since been announced that the reality series will be rebooted. In fact, some personalities from the show discussed this in an upcoming video.Willie Robertson talked about the reboot with Tucker Carlson. He noted that around seven years have passed since the show last ended, suggesting a lot has changed.
Willie also talked about how he prayed with his family on whether or not they would go forward with the reboot. He discussed how many people came up to him to tell him how they grew up with the show.
“It was what my dad and I watched together. Yeah, my mom passed away…it was the only thing that we could laugh at together.”
Fans Took To The Comment Section To Ask About Miss Kay
Willie’s comments were in reference to things fans have said to him. However, out of context, fans started to think that he was referring to his own mother.
One fan took to the comments to write, “This is how I find out Miss Kay passed,” paired with a crying face emoji. Another asked, “Did he say Miss Kay died?”

As noted by Monsters & Critics, while Willie wasn’t talking about Miss Kay, it’s unclear at this time if she will be involved with the reboot. Notably, the video didn’t directly touch upon who will be returning or who will be focused on in the upcoming reboot.
