Vanderpump Rules alum, Tom Sandoval feels he deserves the same pay as Oscar winner, Brad Pitt. He has been in reality television since a guest appearance on the MTV series, The Hills. Then, he was catapulted to reality fame when VPR premiered in 2013. So, why does he feel he has warranted the same cash as Brad? Keep reading for further details.

Tom Sandoval Wants Same Pay As Oscar Winner Brad Pitt

Viewers met Tom Sandoval when he did a brief modeling stint on The Hills. Yet, he left his mark as part of the OG cast of Vanderpump Rules. He was a bartender at SUR and was dating fiery server, Kristen Doute. The cast were all friends and the drama was over the top. They would lie, cheat, drink, and scam but always found a way to reconcile. Sandoval prided himself on being an amazing friend and equally impeccable bartender. Furthermore, he was passionate about acting and music, appearing in a few made-for-TV movies and music videos.

However, a cheating scandal in Season 10 launched Sandoval into infamy. He had an affair with co-star, Rachel Leviss while in a decade-long relationship with Ariana Madix. Ariana joined VPR in Season 2, they had been friends and clicked. As for Rachel, she was with James Kennedy but that ended in Season 9. Much of the cast embraced her, including Sandoval and Ariana but the latter never imagined an affair would happen right under her nose. Ratings skyrocketed and Season 11 was about navigating friendships and living situations under these insane circumstances.

Now that the show has been rebooted for Season 11 with the OG cast gone, Tom Sandoval is taking a stand. According to The Mirror, he feels the cast should come together to be paid as much as the Hollywood elite, such as Brad Pitt. This would be residuals for appearances and other events they might appear at. Currently, Sandoval allegedly makes $700K per series but no residuals. He shared his thoughts about ideally what he would like to happen financially:

“It would be nice to get paid for that, you know what I mean… getting residuals. It’s not like when somebody plays Fight Club with Brad Pitt.”

He Knew From The Beginning

Admittedly, Tom Sandoval knew what he signed up for in the beginning. This is what RHONY alum, Bethenny Frankel has been pushing for with her Reality Reckoning campaign. She would like reality stars to unionize and get what is fair. As for Sandoval, he added this, along with sliding in Brad Pitt:

“You know what I mean, like he doesn’t get that like that rush of negativity. Obviously I’ll take the more money. It is what it is. I knew that signing up for it so you know there’s a lot of other opportunities to come with it. It’s a great platform to really put yourself out there.”

So, he understands that this is a launching pad and it helped give him a small stake in TomTom. Then, he and co-star, Tom Schwartz opened Schwartz & Sandy’s where they risked it all. It was just announced that it would be closing at the end of December 2024. Lala Kent, who joined VPR in Season 4, claimed she thought they were done after Season 10. She added she was reluctant to come back for another season but did and they knew it could not last forever.

Do you think Tom Sandoval is right in some aspects of pay but not on the Brad Pitt level? More so, is his ego a tad too big for who he is? Let us know in the comments below.
