Is Fired Lala Kent On Board With ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Reboot?
Is fired Lala Kent on board with the Vanderpump Rules reboot? The show was just confirmed for a twelfth season which should be great news for fans. Yet, it comes at a cost as the cast viewers have come to know, love, and love to hate will not be returning. Rather, there will be a whole new group of SUR-vers and the series is being completely rebooted. So, how does Lala feel about all of this and will she watch the rebranded Bravo show? Keep reading to find out the answer.
Is Fired Lala Kent On Board With Vanderpump Rules Reboot?
Lala Kent burst onto the Vanderpump Rules scene in Season 4 and was an instant hit. She did not care what anyone thought while doing and saying whatever she felt. That was often hard for her co-stars and SUR co-workers but just fine for Lauren from Utah. She immediately grabbed the attention of Jax Taylor and busboy, James Kennedy. Lala heavily flirted with Jax but he was starting up with Brittany Cartwright so she ended up having a dalliance with James.
By Season 5, she was secretly dating a very married Randall Emmett though she kept his identity hidden. Eventually, they became engaged, had a baby, and split. Fans adored her but by Season 11, she started to grate on viewers’ nerves. At the reunion, she lashed out at Ariana Madix for not being fully transparent yet she had many moments where she hid her life. She chose when she did not want to talk about or show Randall but no one else could keep things close to their chests. Finally, she claimed Ariana was essentially taking food away from her child.
Vanderpump Rules went on an indefinite hiatus so the cast could find storylines away from Season 10’s ‘Scandoval.’ Now, the show is returning but with a whole new cast and everyone else has been axed. So, will Lala Kent still watch it? According to Page Six, she is looking forward to seeing the new crew:
“I feel like we’ve graduated. It’s just not the same. Nothing lasts forever, and I’m really excited to see this group of new young [people] just excited about life.”
The mother of two went on to add:
“It’s all f–king good! I know what this show did for me and my life, and it completely changed it. I’m so excited to see another group of people.”
Still Hanging Around
Even though Lala Kent is done with Vanderpump Rules, it has been announced that she, Scheana Shay, and Tom Schwartz will be on Season 2 of The Valley. Lala and Scheana were already putting time in when Jax Taylor was spending time at a mental health facility. However, Schwartz was a surprise but a pleasant one. Lala just appeared on Scheana’s podcast where the reboot was addressed. Scheana shared that they knew this was coming and were somewhat prepared. She added they were more prepared now than had it happened a few seasons back. Lala just encouraged the new cast to take advantage of this opportunity because it won’t last forever.
