‘DWTS’ Former Pro Keo Motsepe Yearns To Return To The Show
South African dancer Keo Motsepe hasn’t been seen on Dancing With The Stars since Season 29. After finishing third to last place with the late Anne Heche, he seemingly faded into obscurity.
However, the dancer had quite a bit going on in his personal life. But amid his challenges and heartbreak, he never abandoned his love of ballroom dance. Now, he thinks he’s ready to return to Dancing With The Stars.

Keo Motsepe Suffered A Terrible Loss After Season 29 Ended
DWTS fans never quite knew why Keo Motsepe parted ways with the show. Online, fans discussed possible ideas, including his explosive breakup with Season 29 contestant Chrishell Stause. Others thought there just wasn’t room for him in the Season 30 cast.
Keo confirmed he was cut from Season 30 and felt sorely disappointed. However, this does sometimes happen with pro dancers. They never know whether or not they will receive an invite to come back until just before production begins.
However, Keo Motsepe also needed time to heal after a tragic personal loss.
The dancer’s mother sadly passed away at the beginning of 2021. Fans who follow Keo on Instagram know he was incredibly close to her. He still often posts about her to this day.
“I think, after losing my mom, I was in a space where, like, whether I get a call or not, I was just like, I didn’t know where was forward, where was side up or down,” Keo shared in a new interview with The Sun. “It was a very rough time for me personally, so I think that is the big part of just not doing the show or doing something that will put me on a stage that is like publicly or whatever.”
The South African Dancer Misses The Show Dearly
Keo Motsepe has gone on to work on several other productions in a behind-the-scenes role. But after being away from DWTS for so long, he feels ready to return.

“I still miss being on the show. You know, in life, in every person’s life or journey where you stop doing something because of whatever the situation is, and you still miss that last moment,” Keo opened up. “You’re like, just that last one, one more time to be on the stage. That, that is what I crave. I think through the universe and through God and through the producers of the show, when it’s the right time, and with everything online about me coming back, then yeah, you know, I’ll be back.”
He added that he “1000%” wants to be back on the stage.
