‘Yellowstone’ Releases Trailer For Shocking Final Episode
The neo-Western drama series Yellowstone is about to release its final episodes. A trailer has been released showcasing the end to the series’ last season, which premiered a few years back. Opening up, the trailer shares various scenes of the Dutton family swearing to protect what’s theirs.
Yellowstone Will Come Back In November
Yellowstone is expected to return on November 10, 2024, with the first half of the final season coming out on November 13, 2022. The final season is expected to last 14 episodes, spilt between eight and six episodes.
The series’ official YouTube trailer just unleashed its latest trailer. As it shared in the description, “Generations of blood have led to this.”
Kevin Costner appears as family patriarch John Dutton, opening up saying “Everyone’s forgotten who runs this valley.” He continues, “Time to remind them.”
Kelly Reilly’s Beth adds, “Our family legacy is this ranch.” Rip Wheeler, as played by Cole Hauser, assures, “And I’ll protect it with my life.”
As showcased in the trailer, the Dutton family will stop at nothing to protect their land and each other. However, there are forces out against them. Dawn Olivieri’s Sarah Atwood, who schemes to destabilize the family through Wes Bentley’s Jamie, tells him, “All lions die in the jaws of younger lions. And you are the younger lion.”
Kevin Costner Previously Talked About Leaving The Series
The trailer also sees Kayce, played by Luke Grimes, and Thomas Rainwater, played by Gil Birmingham, make a blood oath. As seen in the video, Thomas cuts upon his hand, saying, “This knife wears my blood.” Kayce does the same, saying, “This knife wears mine.” Rainwater concludes that, “We are brothers now.”
Beth begins to worry that she won’t be able to fight back. However, Rip assures her that, “You’re gonna have to honey. Or we’re gonna lose this place.”
As the trailer comes to a close, it appears the family will face forces from different sides. John Dutton warns his family, “This war is just beginning.” However, it’s Beth who ends the trailer, saying, “The only thing left to do is to kill as much as you can before they kill you.”
Although Costner appears in character as the family patriarch, he isn’t expected to appear much for the second half of the final season. As noted by People, back in June, he shared on Instagram that “I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5b or into the future.”

“It was something that really changed me. I loved it, and I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning.”
