Fans of the band One Direction were heartbroken yesterday with the news of the member’s death. At only 31 years old, Payne was in Argentina to see his fellow band member, Niall Horan perform. However, things didn’t seem all positive.

Liam Payne is an English singer and songwriter who is best known for being in One Direction who got their start on X-Factor before seemingly becoming the most popular boyband of the generation. However, Payne has released solo music too. Some of his most notable solo works are “Strip That Down,” “Get Low,” “Teardrops,” and “Sunshine.”

Additionally, Liam Payne was in Argentina with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. The two had been in a relationship for two years. Furthermore, Payne reportedly posted on his Snapchat a video of the two enjoying their breakfast and time away.

Sadly, Liam Payne passed away Wednesday, October 16th. Files claimed that the singer fell from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Due to his battle with mental health and reports of drugs and alcohol at the scene, there are questions about whether it was a true “fall.” Police are investigating the death and will do an autopsy, reportedly.

In addition, Payne has a 7-year-old son, Bear who he shares with his ex Cheryl Cole. The singer’s death is blowing up social media with fans discussing how the other members feel, what it means for a reunion, and more. Moreover, his Instagram comments are filled with fans showing love and sadness.

PEOPLE revealed that an insider expressed Liam Payne “was extremely overwhelmed by all of the legal issues” with his ex-fiancé Maya Henry. Allegedly, Daily Mail revealed that the 23-year-old had requested a cease-and-desist order just last week due to his contacting her nonstop.

Their on-again-off-again came to a close in 2022 after their engagement. On October 6th, the model shared a TikTok that revealed her famous One Direction member ex will still “blow up” her phone. This is also concerning considering he is in a relationship with someone else.

The star allegedly “created new cloud accounts” to message Henry. Furthermore, she shared, “It’s always from different phone numbers too. I never know where it’s going to come from . . . Also [he] will email me…when his phone gets taken away. Also, not only me, but he’ll blow up my mom’s phone. Is that normal behavior to you?”

Moreover, she claimed that Payne was “Also messaging my friends. I found out later so they could go over to his house apparently.” Additionally, she disclosed that “He says that he ‘preys on One Direction fans because they will always be loyal to him and they won’t tell on him.'” Also, she reported that he “weaponized [his] own fanbase.”
