Tia Mowry Says Tamera Is ‘In A Different Place’ In Life

Tia Mowry has revealed that Tamera is ‘in a different place’ in life. After discussing their lack of closeness, Tia has opened up more about their relationship and its challenges.

Tia Mowry And Tamera Mowry Grew Up Doing Everything Together

Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry are twin sisters, actors, and reality TV personalities. The two started together in the 90s sitcom, Sister, Sister which explored a pair of twins separated at birth. Their acting journey together did not stop there. The two acted as separated twins in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Twitches.

In addition, they had a reality TV show, Tia & Tamera, and were in Seventeen Again. However, as expected, the twins separated to do their things. Tia seemed to do more well-known projects as she played a mom in multiple TV shows like the hit Netflix series, Family Reunion. Also, she did Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movies.

Tamera did a couple of Christmas movies too, but she seemed to have a more diverse list of acting experience. She was in the rom-com Girlfriendship but also did mysteries and horror projects. Additionally, Tamera was a co-host on the talk show, The Real.

Tamera Mowry Is Putting Her Priorities In Other Places

After Tia Mowry had expressed that she and Tamera are not as close as they used to be, fans began speculating on the cause. Additionally, she expressed that she can’t just talk to her sister about things anymore like she did in the past which she explained on her reality TV show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act.

Furthermore, the reality TV show explained that the reason she can’t talk about things to her sister is because of the distance between them and not because there’s an argument or a true issue. Reportedly, Tia spoke more about the situation on Entertainment Tonight on Friday.

Discussing Tamera, Tia explained, “She is a mother. Her children need her. She is also a wife. Her husband needs her.” It seems like Tia needs her too, but Tamera perhaps has a list of priorities and Tia is seemingly not at the top.

The star then added, “So she’s just not as accessible as the way it used to be. So I’m comparing it to what it used to be. But I literally just talked to her yesterday.” However, it seems like this isn’t enough for the actress if she still feels they aren’t close. Is Tamera the one creating the distance?

Tia Discusses Changes For The Twins

Moreover, Tia reassured fans that things were okay. The actress remarked, “Everything is good. I’m gonna say what my cousin says, all is well. Period.” Then, she expressed how Tamera is just ‘in a different place’ in life.

In addition, Tia stated, “She’s doing her thing and I’m doing my thing. It’s the same thing with my brother. We were doing movies together, Seventeen Again. I think the reason people tend to go there is because our careers started together.”

Then, the reality TV star disclosed, “But just like any sibling, everybody goes off to do their own thing, and you want them to. You want them to be individuals and to fly solo. So there’s nothing harmful in any of that.”
